Well made, highly functional, worth the investment

Great piece of luggage - functional, durable, and spacious. Following 3 round-trip cross-country flights so far, it looks brand new. I look forward to 300 more. While expensive, I suspect this bag will wear well and provide many years of functional service. It's good looking, too. Highly recommend.

Becareful in the very rainy conditions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a replacement for a previously produced eagle creek luggage. I even went to a store to physically check out the product. It is a great product except for one thing that I over looked. The extendable handle comes from inside the luggage but is not sealed so water gets in. I had a trip and it was raining hard. I was pulling my luggage with the handle extended. Before checking the luggage I needed something inside. The top 1/4 of my packed items was drenched. This included a couple of electronic items. Be aware so you can use the attached fabric handle in very wet conditions.

Hello Peter, we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced with the handle on our luggage in rainy conditions. We recommend using the zippered fabric handle cover to avoid any water damage in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

My husband loves it

My husband loves this rolling suitcase and so do I; it’s so large he can pack a few of my things too. Rolls great.

Hate this bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely hate this bag. It was a replacement for an original tarmac bag that cracked. This bag is one open space with none of the original tarmac features. I will be looking for something else as I am a professional who travels with suits and do not want a duffle bag on wheels to just throw everything in. I can't believe Eagle Creek thought this design was a good idea for the original tarmac series. So disappointed in Eagle Creek. And while it says this bag can hold a lot, it cannot compared to the previous tarmac bag.

Tarmac 28”

I absolutely love my Tarmac luggage! It’s roomy enough to pack for my longer trips yet the ergonomics make it a breeze to navigate busy airports. It’s rugged, well built and takes a beating (like only an airport can deliver) and keeps on trucking! Plus with Eagle Creeks warranty, you can’t go wrong!

Too Narrow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking forward to adding this bag to my other Eagle Creek bags. I thought it would hold a lot more due to the 30" length, but with no real useable outside pocket except to hold some small items, and the fact that it is narrower than an old smaller EC bag, I requested a return authorization the day it was received. EC made the return easy. It looked well made, but did not fit my needs.

Too narrow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality is there, as always with EC, but it is too narrow for packing easily. Also, it could use another outside pocket, larger than the one it now has. Can only put very small items in it, such as a small folding umbrella. I like to pack sandals and flip flops on the outside, not with my clothes.

The lower strap ripped on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lower strap ripped on first use. Instead of replacing the defective luggage, I was required to send it out for repair (after first use). I have been using Eagle Creek luggage for decades and am disappointed in the quality of this latest piece of luggage.

Sturdy Traveler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best suitcase I’ve ever owned! I stuffed it FULL of clothes, sundries, winter wear, AND gifts for relatives, and rolled along at LAX and Heathrow with such gliding ease and never split its seams. LOVE this luggage!!!

Did not like the material

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Did not like the material or the shape of the bag. It is tall and narrow. Might be okay for packing cubes, but I don't use them. I've owned several Eagle Creek bags, but I don't think I will own another. I returned the bag.
