Cozy jacket for running errands (but nothing more)

UPDATE: The feedback/Warranty form on HH's website doesn't even work. What a joke of a "premium" company. You know how Adidas or Nike will sell "leisure" or "fashion" shoes in addition to their running, sport, and hiking shoes? The ones that look athletic but are really only good for grocery shopping? That's this jacket. I bought it in May 2025 and have worn it a handful of times over the summer, including on some light hikes. By October 2025, it's pilling, I can see pulling threads, and a seam has ripped. It's cozy as heck but don't think for a second this is a durable outdoorsy jacket. I’m really disappointed in Helly Hansen and now understand why my crochety old man is always saying how HH quality aint what it used to be. I got this jacket at a steep discount ($160 with coupons) and will enjoy it for grocery runs, but I'll never buy another Helly Hansen item again.

Good midlayer for most activities

Excellent medium warm midlayer. I've used this jacket for soccer, hiking, and biking for two years now and it still looks new apart from some pilling in the underarm panels. For context on the warmth: I'm okay with this jacket plus a long sleeve cotton tee down to about 40 degrees while walking. Pros: - very flattering cut - long sleeves, but with wrist elastic so it doesn't go over your hands unless you pull it over (I'm 5'9" and the sleeves are full length even with my arms straight out) - Pretty wind resistant for not being waterproof - machine washable like a normal sweater Cons: - Not very water resistant. It's tolerable in light rain but water really doesnt bead off like you might expect - A little pinchy in the pits, size up if you want to put a sweater underneath - Holds odor like you'd expect from any synthetic midlayer
