I don’t understand the bad reviews on this. I am 5’5” 135 lbs and normally wear a small. I bought a small, and I think it fits great. I have worn it skiing a few times. Once was in 20 degrees with a windchill of 7 degrees. I was able to wear 3 base layers under it without feeling bulky, and with the wind whipping, I didn’t feel it at all in this jacket. It doesn’t have a ton of insulation, but that’s what their more expensive jackets are for…or add more layers to this one. I’m always cold, and I think this jacket does a good job for what I need it for. I love the phone pocket, though I wish it wasn’t the same one that also has the goggle cleaner. I also love the other pocket for your ski card. There are a lot of other great features, and I’d easily buy this jacket again.
Pros: Waterproof, warm enough for a warm ski day, goggle wipe. Cons:Narrow at the hips, overly stiff neck area, not very warm, quite uncomfortable, terrible zippers, cold air blows through the zipper and hard to pull up. Sleeves were too long while body was tight, I wear a small or extra small shirt and sweater and a size 2-4 in pants, but the coat has no space in it for layers and isn't warm enough without layers. Very disappointed.
Runs small in the chest area and I had a hard time lifting my arms up. If I sized up to a large the jacket would have been massive. I had to return. 5’4” 130 pounds, athletic build, 34D.
Runs small but loved the fabric and the color. Next size would have been too big.
This jacket is the perfect length for skiing; long enough to cover my butt without constricting movement. I run especially cold, so I appreciate the warmth of this jacket. I also like the style and all of the ski features including high collar for cold days, powder skirt, helmet-compatible hood, pit zips, powder skirt and all of the pockets (including wrist pass pocket). Is it too much to ask for another one for Christmas?
Color was not gray at all (kind of a purplish dusty mauve color)! That was disappointing. Outside of that the coat was really nice. Good quality and nice finishing touches.
