Above the Arctic Circle Approved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this Interchange Jacket because we were taking a trip above the Arctic Circle via Planes, Trains, Ferry, Bus and Walking - no this is not the plot for a new movie. Anyway, combined with an existing Columbia Omni Heat Quarter Zip Sweatshirt I had, it gave me all the flexibility to be comfortable indoors, in vehicles, and outdoors for the entire trip. I really like the snap and loop inner liner retention system, to make the combo jacket seem as one! I never "only" wore the outer layer alone, but I certainly used the inner Jacket and then the combination the whole the time! Loved the underarm venting when hiking. Was maybe a smidge larger than expected, but this allowed for proper layering and still be comfortably flexible.

Awesome jacket! Buy this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket with so many functions! This jacket is basically a 3 in 1 which is awesome for the price. Each piece is made with quality. It’s a great travel jacket since you can get a lot of styles in one coat. You basically get a rain coat, a sleek puffer jacket, and a winter coat all in one. I love the grey color, it’s classy and cool. We love Columbia in our household. The products are made well and stylish, same quality as north face or Patagonia but half the price. Highly suggest this jacket. My husband is 6’3” and ~190#. Ordered him a medium and the fit is perfect.

AMAZING Jacket!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is simply incredible. Super warm and dry, handles the elements like a boss! Wore it on day one on a cold and rainy day, kept me super dry and handled the cold superbly. The Omni Heat system keeps my body heat in and the cold out. Couldn’t be happier.

Underwhelming functionality

I was looking for all around functionality with warmth and waterproof. Warmth and water proof 10 / 10 FUNCTIONS on the other hand... a huge miss.. from tiny zippers, and vents that should open the opposite way under the arms, bottom to top unzipping is difficult and slow.... no at small zippers and gloves on the hands... it's impossible... the tiny velcro squares on front ... needs to be twice the size. Overall not a fan.

Good value and comes in a tall size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good value for money. I like the puffer better than I expected. The shell is good for the money, pretty basic. Obviously its not the same as some of the one s that cost 2-3 times as much, but I am happy with it.

Review of ROCKFALL II in Cypress Camo; Columbia is superb in quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "model" is 5'7", 183lbs. As you can see, the large was quite poofy and oversized. I order and wear large items in most coats and shirts due to being more mesoporph. The medium in this jacket fits perfect. Sleeves are perfect length (I have longer arms, shorter torso). Quality of the jacket in Omni-heat is fantastic. Cold German bike commuting every single day from single digits to freezing rain; very repellent and wind resistant. Fabric is much tougher than some of the down coats and "sweaters" out there. Not quite as compressible of a jacket, but I prefer a tougher shell than something that rips easily. Oh, and I took a hard bike wreck, broke a helmet, tore both gloves and nothing happend to the coat. I would prefer inside pockets (there are none) but I can deal with it.

Fly fishing

I purchased this jacket with the express intention of using it for Fly Fishing in Montana. The temperature started in single digits and rose to a balmy mid twenties two days in a row. It rained and it snowed and a little of everything in between. The winds were light at lass than 10 mph. This jacket performed perfectly. I was warm and dry in the worst conditions. The pockets held hand warmers and stayed dry. This jacket isn’t too bulky and doesn’t interfere with your movements when casting.

Totally recommended!

I am very happy with my jacket. It was exactly what I was looking for and of course what I expected from Columbia. It has many pockets which comes to be very important during the winter when I usually carry many things (glasses, gloves, cellphone, wallet, etc). The materials are just great and it is true to size (I am 5.8 ft and 160 pounds).

Great warm comfortable ski jacket

I very much appreciate the tall size for this jacket. I used to have a Columbia Platinum 3-in-1 that was great, but wore out after 15 years. I made the mistake of replacing it with an Outdoor Research Igneo "insulated" jacket with insulative power comparable to a raincoat. This jacket is as warm as my old 3-in-1, and the omniheat reflective layer seems to actually reflect radiant heat. I wish Columbia still made top-of-the-line Platinum models in tall sizes: this jacket would be better with more pockets and a beefier main zipper. I don't especially need the 3-in-1 function, but this seems to be the only warm jacket costing less than half a grand that meets my simple requirements.
