Backpack first Airbag second.
I'm a believer that any airbag should be designed as a backpack first and an airbag second. The Jet Force system is a good idea and it's separated itself from the canister style but this pack doesn't pack well and that's one of the primary reasons I often don't use it. The weight isn't as big of a deal for me as the poor packability is. I find myself rezipping the airbag zipper multiple times through a tour because it pops open and unzips when the pack actually has items in it that you'd need on a tour. I've also found that the 320cm probe and Evac 7 shovel don't fit great in this pack and some of the other BD packs. As a working avalanche professional, this bag leaves some to be desired.
Almost too small to be useful
This is truly a minimalist storage compartment. I find it extremely hard to open and close this bag when HELI skiing and snowmobiling. Unless you have a very compact shovel and probe it is very hard to fit anything else and be able to access it. I put my avy gear, water bottle, lunch and a replacement google lens and that was too much. I fight getting that gear in/out so my recommendation is this is better for a resort side country pack where you don't need to care any food / water.
Good, but not enough room for cold day touring
Love that there are "modules" to the pack. Used this for a backcountry ski trip to Japan. Held a 2-liter Nalgene and a "bullet" type thermos nicely in the inside compartment. Could only fit a small repair kit, extra gloves, and a large insulated jacket in the main compartment. The zippers were maxed out here and it was hard to close. Plenty of room for side country or if you have very packable warm layers. Had no room for anything else. Will be buying the 35L for future use.
Great pack...hopefully I never have to use it.
Great pack. Haven't had to use it yet in an emergency situation. But have tested it a couple times. Everything pretty user-friendly and easy to use. I was amazed at how easy it is to re-pack the airbag after it's been deflated after use. Having the ability to test this bag is well worth the price. I was worried that the diagonal ski straps weren't wide enough for my powder skis; the straps just looked pretty small. But...it fit my 118 underfoot K2's just fine. If I had a gripe at all...it would be that it's tough to haul water with this pack. I haven't tried using a reservoir yet...but I'm not really even sure where you would have the reservoir in the pack. If you're rocking a water bottle, it's a little inconvenient having to unzip the whole pack to get to it. Certainly not a deal breaker though. I bought the 35L expansion, and that's what I primarily use. Tons of space...just a little cumbersome digging out a water bottle. Overall, I'm very happy this pack!
Great touring pack
I added the 35L booster to the quiver in addition to the 10L. Great to have the extra room and provides plenty of space for everything needed. Weight load is balanced and the pack is comfortable even when full. Used mostly for multi-day touring trips.
Jet force pro pack
I love this avi bag it’s the best one one the market. I have the 30L pack on there now and wanted something smaller so it’s a little easier to have on my back snowmachining all day
Best average volume space in the backpack
I have the 10L and the 35L. The 25L is the best to bring necessary ski alpinism gear. The ability to lower or increase the space of this backpack is an amazing feature.
Good Upgrade for the 25L Pack
Definitely a spacious upgrade from the 25L pack. I was also able to carry a Splitboard (158W Junes Solution), just had to take off the bindings to diagonal carry.
Adding tech to an already well designed bag.
Great options for every adventure. Weather out on a full day mission or resort riding. This bag handles it all with these size changing systems
Excellent addition for the 10L
The 25l makes it better for touring, the 10l would be great for sidecountry or comp use, really like the modularity of the new jet force pro
