Packaging needs a reboot

I received this headlamp yesterday and have yet to use it. I am reviewing the packaging, which has to be about as wasteful as one can achieve. There is too much plastic and the batteries are sealed in the plastic case. The strap is wrapped around plastic and attached to the manuals. One has cut and slice the plastic to reach the treat. Black Diamond engineers need to learn to be sustainable with the packaging.

Comfortable and good value for the money

It's a good headlamp. Runs on 2 AAA power cells that are easy to put in. Easy to adjust and comfortable to wear. The strap stays on the lamp and is easy to wear and secure. This particular lamp does not have USB charging capability. The print size of the instructions are terrible. They are impossible to read--but it's easy to figure out. This is a good headlamp for the money and you won't go wrong with it.

I love black diamond headlights and this is the least expensive one I’ve bought and I wish I had gone with this one from the start. It’s only 100 lumins but really that’s plenty of light. You really don’t need more than 100. I also like this one because it’s smaller and more sleek than others that require 3 AAA batteries. You can choose from white light to red, strobe and dim to your prefered setting without having to scroll through all the settings. For the price you can’t beat this lamp

I never read the instructions but after I got stuck on the red light setting, I finally read the instruction. Now it is very easy to switch between red, white, low, and bright light with just the one button. The different setting make this a very versitile headlamp. It says on the head very well. Seems well made. A very good purchase. Glad I chose this headlight.

I kinda collect headlamps and flashlights. This is the headlamp I keep near my bed and always grab when I'm getting up in the middle of the night to putter around the house. I love the dimming feature, and the size and brightness make it a no-brainer for me. A perfect litttle light.

took out of the package tossed out the instructions and started messing with the settings. It's really simple and easy to learn how to switch between the different lights.

High performance at reasonable price point

I used this headlamp for a trip to Patagonia and it did not disappoint! I love the different light options - being able to control both the brightness and the warmth of the light. It illuminates in red as well as white! It's very portable and I've now had it for over a year - headband is still stretchy and in good condition. Overall would buy again! I don't have experience with the more expensive headlamps so it's hard to compare but this one met all my needs on my weeklong trek!
