First Bibs
Just bought these as my first bib shorts and i like them a lot. Nicely made, stretchy and very forgiving on a larger framed guy (know as a fat boy). Surprised that 2xl fit me but according to their size chart, but after wearing a 3xl short and finding it big, it did. Thought bibs would be hotter than they are and after a humid 90 degree ride, I’m hooked.

Not a Good Pair of Bibs
I picked these up when I had a 20% off discount code. I wish I hadn’t. The bibs fit well from a compression standpoint and the straps are comfortable. Unfortunately the proper fit when standing doesn’t really mean a whole lot. The leg grippers do not work well to keep the legs in place. The inseam is relatively short, but regardless they keep sliding up and out of place, which causes bunching of the bibs in the upper thigh/crotch area. The chamois is also among the worst I’ve ever used. It is paper thin and does not stay in place. Obviously these are very inexpensive bibs so I was not expecting anything to rival my Castelli kit, but I was absolutely shocked that I end up adjusting these more mid-ride than my actual shorts. The whole point of buying bibs is to avoid the need for mid-ride adjustment and these unfortunately fail miserably at that aim.

Comfortable but instantly started coming apart

I cannot stress how disappointed I am with these shorts, and Pearl Izumi in general. Back in the day they were a highly respected brand. This was the 2nd set of these shorts I purchased. They were super comfortable and fantastic on the bike but at the end of the first ride of each pair (both pretty short rides) there was wear on the inside thigh of the right leg, near the nose of the saddle. Material was pulling away and it looked it would not be too many more rides before there was a bare patch or a hole. I figured the first pair were a one-off so I sent them back and ordered a 2nd pair. I took a photo of the spot of the wear from the first pair before I put the new ones on. After 20 miles, the same wear pattern was there. Not true of ANY of my other shorts. So my best advice is DO NO buy these. (Just to make things worse, I bought a Pearl Izumi shirt at the same time and the material has snagged on that after 2 rides and a single hand washing!!)

Not Good, Not Horrible

Not for the daily/endurance rider. One-piece construction chamois means that it is easily "sucked up" (if you catch my drift), uncomfortable after only a couple miles, and virtually zero grip on the bottom of the legs so they slide up and down with every pedal stroke. The fit is fine, but everything else was a bust. Will work in a pinch, but I'm ultimately going to have to resort to the pair of bibs that I wanted to replace with these.

Second pair, great shorts.

Hands down, the single most embarrassing piece of clothing I've ever owned, but boy does it make my rides better. I'm a distance cyclist and I used to practice without a chamois...why? No idea. Completely pointless. This is a long lasting, durable piece of gear, they're comfortable, and I've never regretted buying them.

Fine bibs, very poor chamois

The single piece/not contoured chamois is very uncomfortable/needs regular adjustment - I've relegated to use on short rides (sub 30 miles) as after that it is too uncomfortable.

Get what you pay for

The feel of the bib itself is good. My issue is the chamois and padding. Chamois gets uncomfortable after a few miles and padding is not as supportive as most bibs. Save yourself the money and spend it on a quality bib.

All you need in a bib short.

No need to pay more. These shorts work. Great value. You can spend more, but why would you?

Great value and very comfortable on longer rides

For the price these are hard to beat. I’ve had these shorts for over a month now and used them in everything from 98 degrees and high humidity, to mid-50’s (gotta love the weather here in Michigan!). At first I was concerned the chamois was oversized but after multiple 40+ mile rides they have proved very comfortable indeed. I’ll definitely be picking up a couple more next Spring. Soon be switching to my Winter leggings around here though :(

Terrible Chamois Design

I’ve worn Pearl Izumi Bibs for a decade and never had a problem. I usually wear the Attack or PRO model bibs but these Quest bibs were on sale so I took a chance. BIG MISTAKE. The chamois is not like the other Pearl Izumi bibs. It is a single layer, not shaped or molded to fit the saddle like other chamois. Very uncomfortable after 10 miles. I’ve worn them so I can’t return them, so buyer beware!
