Protects and extends the life of your footwear!
My friend came to visit us in Seattle and he arrived with new fancy suede boots. I suggested he treat his new boots with Nikwax's Nubuck & Suede Waterproofing Spray for Footwear that I had on hand while we toured our rainy city. His boots stayed dry despite the constant rain and wet streets. Just yesterday, I received a text from my friend, raving that despite dropping a glass of red wine on the same boots, they appeared as if nothing had happened! An image of the text message is attached. We will continue to recommend this product to anyone looking to protect and extend the life of your footwear, whether you're out in the elements exploring, or walking through the city streets.
Changes texture of suede
The spray does seem to protect my suede shoes but it does slightly alter the texture to a less smooth and more splotchy look even after using a brush (nylon or horsehair) after letting the shoe dry. In my photo, the shoe on the right has been protected but the shoe on the left has not.
No PFC's and great waterproofing!
I have used this and Nikwax TX Direct. They are amazing products. For shoes, I use 2 coats. It seems to improve the water proofing. BTW, please ignore the 1* review. NIKWAX does not and has never has had PFC's! Check with Nikwax.
Outstanding waterproofing
I’ve done side-by-side comparisons of different waterproofing products on my Lowa Renegades, and this product was far and away the best. I use the Nikwax cleaning product first. After treatment with the proofing product, I can literally run the faucet over my boots and everything beads right off — boots stay bone dry! Love this.
Well performing!
I sprayed it on two pairs of suede booties I got this past fall and so far so good. It didn’t stain or spot the suede and seems to be working through the snowy/slushy Wisconsin winter. It did take a full 24 hours to dry in the garage.
Very Effective Waterproofing
I used this waterproofing on my hiking boots and gloves. It was very effective. We hiked in Maine for a week during a very rainy week. We crossed numerous streams. My feet and hands stayed dry the whole time.
Perfect for Keen Durands in the snow!
Worked great on my Keen Durands! Had to use them in a pinch as snow boots at work for a couple weeks and I quickly realized I needed some extra waterproofing. After applying this stuff I was able to shake the snow right off and they didn’t soak through like they did before.
makes a difference!
My kid's boots were soaking water like a sponge... Sprayed them with this stuff and they were repelling water the next time they got wet! It wasn't a ton of water but the product was clearly making a difference. I haven't had the chance to see how they do in heavy rain.
Excellent product
Works like a charm all year long. I have some suede boots that I wear all winter and spring, this product really helps to keep them clean and waterproof. Would highly recommend.
