Spent a number of nights in the mid-20 Fahrenheits on this pad and it's kept me warm. The inflation system attached to the stuff sack is ingenious (breathe into it from further away and you'll be done with 3 breaths, plus top up with mouth, if you like it firm). The only criticism I have is that it's a little slippery, so it slides around the tent floor and it's hard to keep an also slipper pillow on it for the entire night. But to me that was a detail. Light enough for packpacking. I am personally not a big fan of anything in mummy shape, but went for this for weight savings. If weight isn't your concern, go for the rectangular version.
I bought this sleeping pad before my recent backpacking trip to Banff. After hours of sleeping pad research, and analysis paralysis I choose the comfort light insulated, and I am so happy with my purchase. I am a side sleeper, and this pad provided great hip support, and was extremely comfortable. It is not very noisy compared to other pads. I luckily had an exped schnozzle and it works perfectly with the sea to summit valve to pump this pad up in no time. I stayed so warm on this pad at high elevation with lows around 35 degrees in my North face cat's meow 20 degree bag. I am super pleased.
I just got back from 4 days and 3 nights in The Enchantments. The longest, most intense trip I've taken, and I slept like a baby, even in the snow. Bought this as a recommendation from the Sea to Summit rep who called it the "Goldilocks of the backpacking world". Awesome. I'm a side sleeper, 5'8 female, 140lbs, and I can't get over how comfortable I was. First trip I've actually slept during. I also love that it folds up small enough to fit in the lower compartment of my Deuter 45+10 with my sleeping bag and Sea to Summit pillow.
I used this on a three week trip last fall in the mountains and with a hammock, I was as comfortable as ever. Except that it would side around, but that's a normal hammock issue and nothing to do with the pad. REI actually sell wings to slip over the pad to prevent hammock sliding. The pad takes less than ten breaths to inflate and the biggest seller for me was the large dump valve that enables me to deflate and pack up (in the included stuff sack) in probably 2 minutes...or less if you don't pack as neat. Great pad, was worth the money.
Okay, this is an expensive sleeping pad. But, it's worth it. I've tried others but this was the best I've experienced. It kept me WARM on a cold night (got down to around 40 degrees F) and it is also comfortable. It is NOT noisy when you're moving/turning during the night like some other brands are. Inflates quickly, deflates within seconds. Compacts down. Very light. Overall, a great backpacking product. Why not splurge and ensure you have a great nights sleep so you can enjoy the most of your day out in the back country?
Don't change a thing sea to Summit Comfort light is awesome lightweight and extremely comfortable I'm homeless and sleep on the concrete and I was comfortable with this mattress thanks sea to Summit
As a backpacking guide, mountaineer, and fitness professional - I choose this pad over all the others. Well worth the high price tag - it has better support than even the most expensive Big Agnes, despite being thinner. The valve system makes blowing it up faster, and deflating it is practically instant.
I had a high end sleeping pad but never loved it-it was loud and uncomfortable despite the high ratings. I finally took the plunge and purchased the Sea to Summit pad and have used it on multiple outings. I LOVE it! It pumps up quickly (i bought the inflation bag), it is super comfortable and I didn't need to refill it even on multi-night trips. I'm a side sleeper and slept great all night. We spent one night on snow and even then, I stayed warm and comfy! Totally worth it!
We shopped allllll of the sleeping pads for a BP trip on the JMT... Bought them, tested them, returned them and this one is by far the BEST! For weight, size, comfort & R rating. Never leaked any air which obviously is huge! Valve is quick and easy! Don't under estimate this aspect! Being able to dump the air all at once for easy pack up and go is a definite bonus!
This pad was extremely easy to inflate, deflate and pack which was a really pleasant surprise. The pad itself was comfortable for the night camping i spent on it in the sub 30* temperature. I would recommend this pad to anybody on the market for an inflatable pad that packs small and light.
