One of the best looking jackets of all time for it's type. Fits snug, but not small. Though like many mountain puffers, a bit short. Nothing like the current North Face jackets which render them useless to me, but a bit short. Also love the feel of the jacket. Similar to, but better than (IMHO) Canada Goose. Easy to wear. However, not very warm. Here in LA on the beach in lower 50s/upper 40s F get cold after some exposure. And the wind cuts right through the front of the jacket. Not sure if it's the zipper only or the front upper panels. Still, it is the jacket's biggest issue. Render's it unusable in cold weather for me. To be fair, the wind right off the Pacific Ocean during a bad storm maybe worse than off a mountain during the same. Ocean air can be 80-90% humid, while mountain air is generally dry as a bone, so that needs to be taken into account for my thoughts. Still, keeping the jacket despite it's very limited range because it just looks cool. Feels great on the skin. And never overheats me.

Almost perfect!3 stars off because of fill leaking

1st want to say, this review lost 3 stars SOLEY TO THE THE FILL COMING OUT! Mostly happy with my purchase, lightweight, super warm. My only issue is the feathers coming out of the jacket. It's not a lot but super noticable and seems to get worse daily. I have had the jacket for 2 weeks now. After the 3rd or 4th use I noticed feathers coming out. This seems to be a quality issue and I am HUGE on quality. With feathers coming out constantly it makes the jacket feel cheap to me and to be of a lower quality. Hopefully it doesn't come out any faster or I'm sure the warmth will go with it. Aren't there ways to make warm jackets without using actual feathers?

Great functionality, but ...

Pros: : used in -40C with 2 technical baselayers, but only a shirt for up to -15C : lining feels very comfortable : style is versatile enough to be worn in the office and rugged enough when outdoors Cons: : collar feels tight, to a point where you can't really close them fully when you have a scarf or a neck gaiter on : and as already mentioned by some, down is consistently leaking from the seams particularly from the back and the arms (photo attached). I know it's normal for down-filled jackets to be having this problem, but not if it's only bought within three months and hardly-used on a regular basis.

Better jacket in person then in the photos.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality and textures of the materials that went into making this jacket are contagious, at least for me. The color was surprisingly even better in person. It seems they over-exposed the photos to make the colors pop which does a disservice to the reality of the display which is more natural browns and shades of caramel that come off more pleasing to the rustic eye.

Warm puffy jacket for cold weather

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this jacket midwinter for the colder days when the primaloft type stuff doesn’t cut it. It delivers and keeping warm in those cold days. I like the waterproof factor also. Detachable hood a great feature. Many days I don’t need a hood and like the look without it, but have used the good option a few times when I wanted it. It is a bit puffy like a down jacket should be, but the styling and the texture of the materials make it look more stylish than a puffy jacket. Fit is generous. The XXL still roomy and comfortable despite that not being the case for me in some other brands and cuts. This jacket is definitely not a “fitted” cut.

Feathers out of the pockets like an open artery!

The quality of this jacket is very good but there is a poor choice of fleece for the pocket-lining. The zippers are good, as well as the hood. But there are 3 problems. 1- the wrist enclosures are a joke. the velcro doesn't grip. And the inner wrist elastic material grip your wrist so tight that there is no airflow out from your underarms which causing overheating. 2- The fit is too tight. 3- The biggest problem is the fleece material using to line the pockets lets the down spill out all over the place. There is no reason for fleece lined pockets, I dont care for it. Marmot, use better material and makes the seams leak-proof !!

Great jacket! Really good price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you what I like about this jacket: Warm Stylish Good fit I was going to write what I don't like about it, but honestly, I can't come up with anything...maybe that it's just a little bulky? But, it's a winter Jacket, it should be. This jacket seems to be a direct competitor to Outdoor Research's Whitefish jacket, which I replaced with this jacket. The Whitefish was sized a little strange...too small in the body in a size small, and way too long in the arms in the size medium. Anyway, if you need a non-packable, warm, good looking jacket at a reasonable price...you could do much worse!

Everyday jacket for all of your winter needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket for everything except for actual hiking because you’d be sweating bullets. This jacket is so warm and comfortable my wife steals it from me!! I love the tough fabric, makes me feel more secure going through the trees without the worry of tearing up.
