The jacket weighs hardly anything, and is perfect for rolling up and stowing in your luggage for taking on a trip. I like that it has outside pockets as well as nice deep inside pockets in case I need to stash anything in those. The jacket itself fits well and is pretty much true to size. Little touches such as the sleeve cuffs fitting close to the wrist and a drawstring at the bottom of the jacket prevent allow for maximum warmth. In addition to all the tangible properties of the jacket itself it’s also nice that it’s made up of at least 75% recycled material, and that the materials are sourced responsibly. This is a great option if you’re looking for a new warm winter coat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the Jacket for backpacking because it is lightweight, warm and compact storage capability. The design is very functional with zippers on both side pockets to keep your valuables safe and elastic cuffs along the wrist section. The interior has two large pockets along the lower portion which have a dual purpose of storing the jacket into a compact ball and takes up minimal space in your backpack. The waist section has an elastic sinch cord which allows the Jacket to be loose or form fitting. I intended on just using this jacket as a base layer but found it to be warm enough by itself. If you go on long walk or backpack through the woods this is honestly the perfect all around Jacket!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the best jackets I’ve ever had, and I’ve only had it a short time. The proof is in the workmanship, though. I love how light it is, but how warm it keeps me when there’s a little bite in the fall air. And I really appreciate the zipper pockets for my hands, as well as the big open pockets on the inside of the jacket. That allows me to keep some other things safe and out of the elements if I’m walking from the car into the office or something similar. The down and outer shell make this soft and lightweight and a perfect companion for travel!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this men’s Marmot Hype Down Jacket! It is very stylish and trendy and I really like the vibrant color. I also really like that it is very comfortable to wear and lightweight. It is very portable and packable. I’m an outdoor athlete and this jacket provides me an excellent amount of warmth while I’m able to love about freely and comfortably in it. Overall, I feel that this jacket is very well made, warm, comfortable and performs well. I highly recommend it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket. Thin, light, and packable so you can fit in your bag, but insulating enough to keep you warm. I was fine in just a T-shirt and the jacket in 50 degree weather and it's easy enough to fit another layer underneath. It kept me dry on a pretty rainy day, too. The blue color is really nice, it's more muted than it looked online which I liked, it isn't too bright or neon-y. The medium fits great, the sleeves are a tad long but don't bunch up too bad.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so happy with this super-lightweight, expertly designed down jacket. As an outdoor professional, and an XXL (height/length but not girth), I am so appreciative of the consideration of longer arm length and mid body design. I am not supportive of the comments that the body length is short, it is at very least average if not a bit on the longer side (and I am 6' 4"), and my sleeves are excellent for a person looking for length at extension when reaching on an ice pick placement. Let me be clear...I was so happy with this I had the feeling of wanting to sleep overnight in my bed with it, like when I got my first Chuck Taylors. Yes, it is warm, and it looks friggin' great! Buy it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket we received had a faulty zipper that we wrestled with for over 10 minutes just to open the darn coat before finally giving up. It will be going back. The rest of the jacket felt like it would have been nice, but seriously, a nonworking zipper out of the package? Where is the quality control? Very disappointed for this experience at this price point.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket is super great for a lot of different reasons. Most importantly, it is crazy warm for a relatively small jacket - it doesn't completely block wind, so that is worth noting, but otherwise its perfectly suitable for temps down to 40s with just a t-shirt on underneath. Its also probably the lightest jacked ive ever owned... it literally weighs nothing, which is nice if you are the type of person who wears a jacked all day. As far as weather resistance it doesn't say anything about being water proof / resistant, so I haven't tried to wear it in the rain (I don't want to risk ruining the down fill). I am 6'0 about 155 lbs and a medium fits me almost perfectly, just a little boxy which is fine for a winter coat of you like to layer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Marmot Men's Hype Down Jacket had perfect timing! Getting ready to travel from a hot(er) climate to a colder climate and needed something that was easy to pack without the added bulk yet provided me with the necessary warmth. Shoulders fit comfortably across the back. Sleeves were of the appropriate length. Stitching is intact throughout. I enjoyed the fact that Marmot has their goal of being as sustainable as they can regarding the environment and is recognizing the environmental impact and attaching their "report card."
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an avid winter enthusiast, ADK hiker and snowmobiler I’ve had many down/synthetic puffer jackets. This is the best so far; incredibly lightweight, packable with perfect cuffs. I can wear it in the vehicle or outside in thirty degrees. I run warmer but this jacket regulates much like my down comforter, comfortable without getting hot. Roomy zippered pockets stash phone, keys, wallet and more. I am 5’9 215 with larger shoulders/chest and the XL fits just right.
