[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket. It's very, very lightweight but keeps the wind chill and and cold at bay. The nylon used in the jacket is recycled, as is most of the down. The outdoor pockets have flaps over the zippers and the zippers are of good quality. It should be noted that while the sizes are accurate to what is listed on the website, that is a bit smaller than you might be used to from other companies so purchase accordingly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable and stylish jacket that fits very well. It offers good movement and plenty of warmth on chilly days. Can be paired with a rain shell for the ultimate warmth.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in the Midwest having a jacket that screams stylish, warmth and lightweight is almost impossible to find during the fall to winter transition. Well, I found it. Love how lightweight this jacket is less bulky so as I'm doing work outside or going out for the evening I feel like I'm not the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. It is quite warm despite the thickness as I feel like all I need is this jacket and a hat. Love the three colors which stand out and they go well with attire. The pockets are extra deep so I don't have to worry about anything falling out if I forget to zip or just to put my hands in for extra warmth.
I replaced my old Marmot jacket with this one. Just like my first jacket, the Ares jacket is very lightweight and warm. Perhaps, it could fit a bit more snugly at the neckline, but just be sure to wear at least a collared shirt to keep the heat in and then, perhaps, eventually a scarf. Overall a warm winter jacket that also looks good. The brighter colors are a welcome change from the dull colors of other winter jackets, while still looking masculine. I’m especially glad it fits so well as I bought online from only the picture, and being a small (to extra small) often have sizing issues. The drawstring at the bottom makes the fit perfect, gives added shape and keeps the warmth in.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using my jacket for a few days since it substantially cooled off in our area this jacket is absolutely amazing. Went in a bicycle ride and with the wind chill it kept me very warm, yet didn’t make me sweat as much as my other jackets did. I am highly recommending this jacket.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this jacket just in time for early winter! Great jacket, soft and light which is perfect for a Texas fall/winter. Easy to carry around if not wearing and it looks great. Made from recycled materials which is a plus. Highly recommend.
I liked everything about this jacket. The zipper is a butter, it is warmer, fits well. Like the way it doesnt put a strong grip around the wrist. Its been a day, so cannot much comment on anything else. Will update as and when I find any.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new Marmot Ares Down Jacket. It is a perfect light jacket for Fall in Michigan. It provides enough warmth on a cool day and I love the fact that it's water resistant. My kids had sports all morning last weekend in the rain and I wore this jacket and felt completely dry. Regarding the look, I love the retro look and feel to it. The jacket is super light weight and has just the right amount of puffiness to it. I can wear it on so many different occasions and I love the fact that I barely even feel like I'm wearing anything. This is a great jacket!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This jacket fits perfectly, I am a true large and it is comfortable, I can freely move my arms around without restriction. It is lightweight but enough to keep you warm and will cut out the wind and it says it has a treatment to help from the jacket getting totally wet. This will be a great jacket for me to throw on daily when its cold in the mornings. The style is so cool, sort of retro and I really like the colors a lot. Has two pockets in front, one hidden inside and also a cinch at the waist if needed. I'm ready for those cooler temps.
