There are reviews about the irritating tags. Note that the tags are sewn on with a different piece of thread than the thread which creates the seam. This isn't obvious because it's the same color thread - I figured it out by accident. You can cut the thread to the tags and remove them without unravelling the waistband. I love these.

Totally agree with previous reviewer: Patagonia has changed all their supply in the REI stores to a very low rise style. I only wear Patagonia briefs. Very disapppointed - now I have got to look at other brands to purchase.

Best active briefs I've tried

I was looking forward to trying these. I do a decent amount of hiking but I'm also a sports photographer and I need something breathable for those 100 degree days here in the Mid Atlantic. These are the most comfortable of the active briefs that I've tried. The material is very soft and flexible and they are very stylish to wear even on non-active days. I'm not a small girl and the sizes are accurate. You can be assured when ordering that a medium is a medium and a large is a large. There is no riding up and I don't find myself every having to make adjustments. Also, the fabric really does a great job of wicking any moisture from the area.

This Label is a Pain…

In a side-by-side comparison, this underwear dried faster than my “regular” underwear. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is the ridiculous 3 page scroll that they sew into the back. This label is excessive by any industry standard. An added insult is that it’s sewn in such that it would damage the garment to remove the stitches and get rid of all of that itchy paper. I’ll probably look for another brand, since this in no way shows any consideration for the customer that has to wear it.

not the same

Disappointed. These are not like they used to be. I have several pairs of Patagonia brief undies I love and have worn for years. The cut on these are totally different, they are now a low rise style, so low they are no longer comfortable. (I am a size large). The previous cut was nothing granny style either, just more realistic for a normal brief style. What a bummer....sending back. If you're looking for a fuller bikini cut- then these might be just right.

Not the same cut or material

I have always been a big fan of Patagonia briefs and own several pairs that have held up nicely for several years. I recently bought 7 pair of Patagonia briefs and am really disappointed. The material is definitely not the same as the Patagonia briefs I’ve worn in the past. The material is not the soft silky like material as the others I’ve purchased in the past. The cut is different. I can’t wear them. Can I return them?

solid, stays in place, but tight

this is my second time trying these panties, and yet again my usual size felt awfully tight. the leg openings are definitely smaller than other briefs i've worn, which is good in some ways (never get wedgies in these which is amazing) and not so good in others (definitely not my 1st choice to lounge in at home). i find that i reach for these when i actually have a long day outside planned vs. a normal weekday, when they feel a bit too constricting to chill in. that said, they are great for long outdoor days and do dry very quickly as others have said. i'm consistently a small in underwear, but maybe i should have tried a medium.

Very comfortable

These are very light weight and comfortable; you almost don't know they're there. I bought a pair for my mom as well, and she loves them! My pair from last year is still holding up very well. I looked through all of the design variations of these that Patagonia makes and found these are the only style that feels like what I'd call a normal fit (i.e. just beneath my pant/short line, and full coverage of my butt.) I wear low rise style pants (according to Prana's label), and yet I found all of Patagonia's other styles to be cut uncomfortably low, or lacking coverage. My hips are about 34.5" and the S fits perfectly. Probably could have gone with the XS too, but I wanted to be sure I wouldn't need to pull them down at all. Great product & lovely designs too!

Won't stay up

Correct size, but it won't stay up. Construction and material are not what I found my older versions. Elastic too loose. Returned.

Not briefs. Fits like a hipster / different design

Fits like a hipster, very low brief at best. If you're looking for the item described, this is not it; this is not a brief cut. Ordered 1 of each and had to return all of them due to changed styling along with inaccurate description. Return shipping wasn't free, either. Very disappointed. Won't be shopping with REI due to ship costs that I paid due to their description. I recommend they add *updated design on items they change.
