Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding I just received a pair of Guide's Choice with the Chromapop Bronze Mirror lenses. They are by far the best fitting and functional sunglasses I have owned in over 25 years of fishing. I have tried all the other brands and Smith beats them all. They are lightweight and provide excellent coverage. The arms are short enough that they don't interfere with hats and create pressure points. It is obvious that Smith listened to fishermen when they redesigned these. I can now stop searching for the perfect sunglasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lenses are spectacular I'm not going to comment on the fit or style. As for fit, my head is a goofy shape and it's rare that I find a pair that fits my face. This pair fits me great but everyone's face is different. As for style, well let's just say I have a face that only a mother could love. Quality appears to be good but I've only had these a week so I can't speak to durability. But they appear to be well built. But the lenses - WOW. I've never had such spectacular lenses. Quite honestly, at this price point, they had better impress me. Thankfully they did. I wanted the best fishing sunglasses, and I'm not disappointed. They're pretty spectacular.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pair of Smith optics yet Just got them yesterday. I have the Techlite Polarchomic Ignitor and love them. I got these as soon as I saw they had a glass lens version of the Ignitor. I have the Frontman with the ChromaPop Polarchromic Ignitor lens. Love them but have never liked plastic lenses aways worn glass. I also have the Chamber with the Techlite Polarchromic Copper lens. The Guide's Choice are by far the best. I fly fish in different lighting and the Ignitor lens is the best I have ever had. They come with a really cool intergraded leash system. The Ignitor lens makes the trout pop in the water better than any other lens color I have ever had. And as for day to day use my eyes have never been happier. I live in Phoenix AZ where the sun is always blazing and bright and love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Guides Best Friend The Guide's Choice paired with the Low Light Igniter Lens provides excellent vision during the worst light conditions on the water. I am a fly fishing guide in Western North Carolina and I spend many days in areas where the sun does not make it to the stream due to heavy canopy cover. I am seeing trout where I was not seeing them before with my other competitive brand of glasses. Due to the light transmission that the Low Light Igniter Lens provides I am able to get clients on more fish. The Guides Choice comes with the lanyard that attaches directly into the frames for a seamless fit. If you are looking for the best glasses for fishing mountain streams then these are the glasses for you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best glasses I've owned I'm a professional fishing guide, so I have a distinct need for great polarized glasses. Quite frankly, they're an important piece of my fishing equipment. Because of that, I've tried every product on the market, trying to find the very best. I've tried Costas, Mauis, Oakleys, and even smaller brands like solar bats. Each had their benefits, but they also had their downside (i.e.,Costas are great, but are incredibly heavy). I've now had my Smiths for a few weeks and I must say they are the finest glasses I've owned. I also love the integrated straps. Usually I'd have to spend another $20 bucks to add those!!! For a guy that looks at glasses as gear, I wholeheartedly recommend these!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great update on a recent classic! New schoolers will love the fit, features, and performance of the Guide's Choice. Old schoolers like me, who've been with Smith through the the Otis, Ambush, and previous Guide's Choice will feel right at home in the new style. Fits beautifully from eyewall to eyewall, blocking out the sun's rays to prevent shine off the back of the lens. Total protection from twigs while bushwhacking, biking, or from the occasional stray fly you or your clients cast. Built tough for years of use. Better than the original, which I didn't think could be beat. I strongly recommend buying the Polarchromic TLT version. The integrated leash is strong and secure. But stays out of my way, even with a hoody on. Can't beat it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible lenses This is my 6th pair of Smith glasses and is by far the best. I like the fit and finish of the frames and have a hard time believing that they have glass lenses, as they are so lite. The one downside to these is the leash. I love the concept but am not a fan of the length and stiffness. It binds up on the collar of a coat or foul weather gear. I am sticking to my old Croakies but can understand how the integrated leash might be better for someone else. As someone who spends tons of time on the water I think these are the best lenses since the old Nautilux lens from Vaurnet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I feel like I've been missing out up to this point These sunglasses rock. I haven't owned many high-quality sunglasses like these in the past, because I've never found a pair that seemed worth the money. But Smith nailed it with the Guide's Choice. In fact I bought two pair - one with the techlite glass lenses and one with the chromapops! They're super comfortable, both when you initially put them on and at the end of a full day of a 10 hour day on the river. No sore spots from pinching or pressure. Above all, though, is the lenses. The chromapops are just pure awesome and I never want to take them off. They make colors so vivid, with unbelievable contrast. The techlites are every bit as sweet for their clarity and ability to adjust with changing light conditions.
