  • Each 11,000-BTU burner utilizes revolutionary Hyperflame technology, providing an even heat distribution across the pan and improved wind resistance
  • Using a stair-stepping design and added flame holes for fast, even cooking, Hyperflame burners cut boiling time in half compared to a standard burner in winds up to 3 m/sec.
  • Wind block pan supports also provide 360° of wind protection, and eliminate the need for side panels so you can use a 12 in. pan and a 10 in. pan at the same time
  • If you're looking for more meal options, the Swaptop interchangeable cooktops let you change out the pan supports with a grill grate or griddle (not included)
  • When you're ready to cook, just hit the Instastart push-button ignition and dial in your heat with the 2 independently adjustable burners
  • Perfectflow pressure control technology produces a steady fuel stream and consistent burner performance in all kinds of weather
  • When you're done cooking, the built-in handle and latching lid make for easy carrying back home until you're ready to create your next camping culinary masterpiece

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Burner is great, construction not so much I love the fact that the burners are fantastic, but no real control over the temp, even though there are dials, it's basically either on or off. But if you want to boil water, it boils fast. Just be careful you don't burn your food as it cooks hot. Part I hate is the construction. The wind guards for the flame work like a charm, the lid not so much. It has a latch with about 1/8 or even 1/16th long tooth that supposedly hooks into the main stove area. But with such a small tooth, and a poor angle for the lid when it is latched, any gust of wind will move the lid and unlatch the hook. Therefore you will have the lid close on you. Older models had the wind guards latch on the sides of the stove, and while this unit doesn't need them for wind support, I would have loved them for lid support. Again, the burners work exactly as designed and held up magnificently well to the wind. Not an issue with the cooking component at all. I had another issue with the lid. While closed, the lid sits on top of the bottom part of the stove. It's not truly designed to fit over the bottom. Wouldn't be an issue until I discovered that the design to fold over the excess metal of the lid underneath itself, and the silver surface also attached to the top of the stove has a lip, so that when the lid compressed below that lip, they essentially latched onto each other and made it quite difficult to open again. Now I have a bent corner that catches every time it's closed and only used on 2 trips. It happened after I stored it in the car and stuffed it too tight with weight on top, so my mistake, but a costly one now that i dread closing it and applying any pressure on the lid while closed to avoid this from happening again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I really want to love this, but I don't The set up and ease of use of this stove is fantastic. I like how lightweight it is too. I bought this stove even though the REI review and Amazon reviews say it burns hot because I figure, I'm a decent cook and I also like my stuff a little crispy. The stove does a great job protecting against wind- I had my stove up and running with boiling water while I watched my brothers struggle to keep their solo burners lit. I also really like that I can put two huge pots on this thing as there aren't any flaps to guard from the wind. But that's where it's awesomeness stops. It really burns HOT. You only need the knob turned a smidge past "off" and your water will boil in a minute. Also, everything else you cook will burn. I found myself having to choose food that I could either cook quick, cut up super small to cook through, or not cook at all. That's no bueno. My eggs freaking boiled & I was going for sunny side up. On the last day of our trip we did a massive meal to eat everything in the cooler. I had the stove going for about 15 minutes and the propane tank started to frost over. I'm told this is because it's drawing fuel too fast. Not sure if that is safe... So again, I want to love it, but I can't. If you get this you'll be able to make the quickest coffee in the campsite - but you'll burn everything else. I sadly returned it and am hoping they'll make a new and improved model with real temperature control.

This will not attach directly to a 15 lb. propane tank without an adapter.

^^^ @REIservice: I think what alexsuperT was asking if it is POSSIBLE to hook it up to a large propane tank. So what you're saying is that yes, with an adapter, this stove can be used with a 15, 20, or 30lb propane tank?

Asked by: AllWhoWander
This stove can be powered by a bulk propane tank with the addition of the Coleman 5-Foot Propane Adapter Hose. https://www.rei.com/c/propane-tank-accessories
