Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tastes Awful! This product tastes positively awful. I'm quite big into milkshakes and smoothies so when I found this product I was excited to be able to take them on trips with me. I just got one to try but I'm glad I didn't get any more because the taste of this thing is nothing like what a smoothie should taste like. This product has that wheatgrass protein NutraPower blend I believe it is. It tastes very strongly of a "green" smoothie. The strawberry and banana flavors seem to be quite weak compared to the other tastes. I even tried dumping in some splenda sweetener since it's a bit bitter too and it didn't even help at all. This might be for those of you who like that sort of "green" tastes. Preparation is alright though. I'd probably suggest starting with less than the suggested amount of water I used 1.25 cups. Any more than that and I think it would be rather watered down. It thickened right up but took LOTS of stirring to get all the stuff mixed in and you were still left with a decent layer of powder. Overall I think if you liked AlpineAir foods in general you might like this one. I've tried several of their foods and it just isn't quite "there" for me. This is no different. I'd take a Mountain House option over this.
