I have used quite a few different brands of hydration, and tailwind is by far the most effective product I’ve used for hydration.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I *LOVE* the Recovery Mix. I feel drastically better when I drink my Tailwind Recovery Mix after a tough workout Vs when I don’t. Using Recovery, I’ve been able to knock out long runs and tough workouts back to back to back and still feel good and able to perform. I’ve tasted all four flavors, and my favorite is Chocolate, but all of the flavors are delicious and obviously this is a convenient nutrition option as well. I highly recommend the sample pack and then committing to a big bag of your favorite flavor. You won’t regret it!
I'm a runner. I have only used Tailwind twice. I'm love vanilla and I'm used to the vanilla flavor of ON Gold Standard whey protein. Tailwind vanilla recovery mix tastes weird, it's kind of 'nutty' leaning towards a 'raw' vanilla bean, instead of an 'ice cream vanilla' flavor that I like better. I guess it's a matter of time before I get used to it. Not a biggie, though. Anyway, I have only used it twice after two long runs, and I think it's a great product for what it is: recovery. As of now, I can't give it 5 stars, because I need to use it for at least 2 or 3 months before I make it part of my regular running routine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The recovery powder has great flavor, isn’t too sweet and mixes smoothly into water. I love that it’s caffeinated! I’ll use it after a hard run or after a hard workout to hold me over until I can grab a meal. I definitely could tell the difference in soreness the next day when I’d forget it or didn’t think I needed it. My sister had a packet waiting for me at the finish line of my first marathon because I was so scared of how sore everyone said I’d be. I was perfectly fine. My body definitely knew I’d done something the next day, but I wouldn’t even say that I was sore. The Endurance Fuel and Recovery mixes are both worth their weight in gold!
Flavors = amazing!!! Simple = add water & shake Totally replenishing, it saved me on my 100km Zion ultra race!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having dedicated to push my limits and set new PR's in the 5k and Half-Marathon this year, the Tailwind Rebuild Recovery Mix has quickly become a constant in my post-workout routine. Having tried the started pack, I then purchased a bag of vanilla flavour for home and a convenient single serving 12 pack of chocolate for when I'm on my travels. The chocolate variant is rich, velvety, and downright delicious. I mix with either water or milk or even added to a cup of coffee. Best taken within 45 of exercise it helps with recovery, with no affect on my stomach or weird aftertaste...it feels like indulging in a post run treat rather than a recovery drink! : )
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a 54 yr old trail runner who has experimented a lot with post recovery nutrition. Some options have left me feeling overfull and sleepy. Others lack the carbs I need to top off my tank after longer runs. Tailwind's Recovery Mix ticks off all the boxes. My first use after a 13 mile run left me feeling recharged instead of needing a nap. It has now become my go to after every run. I love the chocolate flavor, sometimes adding greens or instant coffee...yum! It digests well for those with a sensitive gut. I usually mix it with an immersion blender, but it also mixes easily in a blender bottle. Recovery is so important and Tailwind's Recovery Mix helps me get back out there...fast!
I only just found Tailwind- and just in the nick of time! Nothing like trial by fire. I am working a physically strenuous job at the time 7 days a week in the sun and all kinds of weather caring for 19 horses at a rescue in the high desert of Oregon. Hydration already an issue- but I have clearly seen the excellent support Tailwind hydration and endurance packets have kept me healthy in this extreme. BUT! That’s not all trying to follow a friend’s bike trail descriptions, trail was not as described, our 30 mile planned bike ride turned into 45 ending on the road during the middle of the day in 90+ degree weather- thanks to my preparedness and tail wind hydration and recovery nutrition when we got back home I was able to recover and get back the the horses without worry or muscle soreness and exhaustion. I’m a solid supporter now and already put in my second order.
My favorite protein. I have used during 50+ mile races and I am an avid Ultra trail runner. The packets are amazing for on the run, and the boost from the coffee flavor's caffeine, and the touch of fat in every one is the best thing to keep you going when things get tough. Tastes good enough but mild enough to easily take in post 30 miles. Absolute game changer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whether I am sprinting for six races in a day on a dragon boat or on an outrigger canoe for 10+ miles…tailwind is my go to for hydration, and also recovery after practice or race days. All of the products are essential to my successes and giving my muscles what they need to win medals.
