durable and comfortable
these sneakers are very durable all around, from the laces, to the interior. the soles wear very slowly. they also stay clean. performance wise, I've walked up to 12 miles in them and my feet felt great even at the end. this was in an urban environment. I do not wear them hiking. I wish merrell made more stylish sneakers like this as I would buy again.
most comfortable shoe I've worn in a long time!
No break-in required. Lightweight, breathes well, seems to be near perfect "city shoe". I wish Merrell made a waterproof version. The shoe fit reminds me of the "sneakers" I work as a kid.
Hiking shoes that pass as stylish sneakers
Finally some hiking shoes that are comfortable to hike in, and don't have that 'hiking shoe' look. It's hard to find a comfortable men's shoe that is stylish enough to wear out to non-outdoorsy occasions and the brown-green-grey version of this shoe is just that.
Adhesive failing.
After 2 hours of wear, rubber on front of shoe is separating from shoe toe. Re-glued with RTV silicone. Seems to be holding.
Comfortable but bad adhesive
These shows look great and are quite comfortable to walk around in. Unfortunately, much like the other reviewer, the adhesive on the black rubber at the front of the shoe has already failed and the rubber is separating from the shoe on both sides. I'm taking these back for a return and will try a different shoe.
Great casual shoe
Well built and very comfortable great support perfect for lots of walking around days and working around the house. would also be nice for easy trails.
Disappointing quality
After just 4 weeks of daily walks on gravel bike paths the toe seams all failed, both feet. I've always trusted Merrell, but no longer.
Good look, tough on the feet
I love the look of these and use on short walks/hikes but after a full day my feet hurt from lack of arch support
Versatile shoe for all conditions
Sturdy enough for light hiking, attractive enough for urban-casual, light enough for travel. Very comfortable.
LOVE THIS SHOE
Very comfortable everyday shoes – look good for office wear and are great on long lunchtime walks.
