Best Casual Shoe on the Market
I've lost track of how many Jungle Mocs I've bought over the decades. It's one of those popular items of clothing that always gets a comment when another devotee spots me wearing them -- yes, it's a shoe with a fan base. My feet have widened and flattened as I've aged and this Nubuck is cut wider in designated wide sizes than the standard Jungle Mac, in my experience. I now replace the removable sole insert with an ortho insert with aggressive arch support. This is the perfect everyday mainstay shoe, and absolutely ideal as a travel shoe: it slips off for TSA, dresses up or down for daytime touring and evenings out, and is comfortable for days of walking. I've watched so many favorite clothing items deteriorate through the years as the fabric gets cheaper, the sizing is off, and the quality goes down. This is and has always been the best shoe in my closet, and Merrell hasn't compromised on the quality. Still the best shoe out there.
Where did QUALITY go?
Nubuck Moc for men - Why did you cheapen the product & then increase the price? My last pair had beautiful XXXXX stiches on the top of the mic and X stitching on the back of the moc holding a leather pull-on strap, not this plastic/fabric strap??PIX ARE THE "OLD/GOOD" VERSION!
Exceeds Expectations!
I originally picked up these shoes because I wanted to get rid of laces and I needed something waterproof. I am now going to keep buying these shoes because they are the best pair I have ever owned. I work in a chemical laboratory and these shoes have taken every kind of spill you can imagine with no issues. Water? Yup. Acid? Yup. I have literally walked through flooded areas and had no leakage to the inside of the shoe. I’ve walked enough in the year I’ve had them to wear the sole out and it still doesn’t slip and the inside padding still feels very good. Take my advice and pick these shoes up. They do everything they claim and then some.
Long lasting
My wife bought me a pair of these five years ago an again 2 1/2 years ago an I heard you can’t wear out the vibrant souls so I put it to the test an found out after five years an rough abuse hear on farm an at work on my feet all day I finally wore a hole in the bottom but really I could keep wearing them but with no tread it makes for hard walking in snow an mud all the other stitching an material is still holding up well I would definitely buy another pair but like I said I have a new pair she bought me over two years ago an thes should get me a couple good years before I need to They are completely the most comfortable shoe ever owned by me

Poor Quality / Not Happy
Bought these for my son for Christmas and the rubber toe caps have already pulled away on both shoes. Poor quality and I am not happy.

Shoes slip and roll
I am a great fan of Merrell shoes and have been using the slip one for almost a decade. However, the recent one I bought - Jungle Moc Nubuck waterproof has been a disaster. The shoes slip at the slightest slope on the trail because of its defective heel structure. The heel practically doesn't have a grip and when you step on a soft slope even on very simple trails, it slips hard. Also, the ankle construction is very loose for a Medium sized shoe I wear - it rolls and can potentially be harmful to your ankle. I tried wearing thicker socks but of no use.
Just OK
These shoes are OK if you are new to Merrill or not a long time customer of this brand. Merrell used to be a go-to for me but the quality, and attention to detail is not what it used to be and the sizing feels a bit sloppy. I bought these shoes as a replacement for a pair that I bought for my Dad years ago and the difference in quality was apparent as soon as I opened the box. The leather looked cheaper and they didn’t feel or look the same. I was a customer because the shoes were solid, well made, and comfortable. I always knew what I was getting when I purchased a pair of Merrell shoes but this is the second time I’ve been surprised and disappointed.

Performs as promoted
This purchase replaces an old pair of Merrell Jungle Mocs that had performed admirably for several years. This new pair offers good support/comfort on top of a stable, traction sole. The "Wide" sizing option is critical since they can accommodate custom full-length orthotics without sacrificing comfort or performance. This is a great shoe for around the house, and being waterproof, keeps the feet dry and comfortable for running errands on foul weather days or walking through the early-morning dewy grass. Also an apres-ski favorite after shedding the boots and slipping these on to make your way to your favorite watering hole.
Best pair I've ever owned
This is my tenth pair I love them, the most comfortable shoes, super low maintenance, and best of all waterproof, I have two pairs at a time now one I use for work around the house and doing BBQ and a clean pair for going out, also have a brand new pair on the box, great quality and build, I only buy Merrell since my first pair, I put them through some rough uses and they last a lifetime I basically change them whenever I don't feel like cleaning them anymore hahaha there's not a pair I could recommend more, and for the small price difference I always get the waterproof ones, whenever it rains I never worry about wet socks or standing in a puddle, just awesome
