Disappointing
I bought a pair on sale a few months ago on the advertisement that it was based on the Chameleon and that the Cham 8 appears to be discontinued (except for the tactical version) It's like a Moab with none of the Moab's virtues - no Vibram sole, no nylon shank. The tongue is not like any prior Chameleon, in that it is a bellows tongue instead of a stretchy sock. After a few months of wearing, the tongue's stitching has started to stiffen at the tongue and feels like a needle poking the top of my right ankle. The tread is definitely not a long-lived tread like the Cham 8's Vibram. The waterproofing seems to work well, but the shoe is definitely NOT a throwback to any Chameleon, and I've owned every series from the original to Cham 8, including waterproof versions. Will not buy again.
