Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with this shoe Got these running shoes about 2 weeks ago, have run about 6 times, 5K each time. I got them in the store and spoke with a sales associate to help me decide on these. I plan to run some on the trail, some on the road and we decided these could do both, even though they're a trail shoe. They do work well for me on both, very comfortable. I went up a full size - normally wear an 8, went with a 9 in this shoe. Have on a very rare occasion gotten an 8.5 in the past in some shoes, never a 9, but I definitely needed the room in the toe. No rubbing, slipping or blisters so far. Work nice on teh street and trail for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unlike previous GT-2000 I've loved the GT trail series from Asics for over five years; happily/reliably replacing them each year needed. With the Memorial Day sale, I ordered a new pair and as so disappointed. The toe box is narrower, foot bed is more shallow, and overall the shoe is incredibly stiff. I put them on thinking I could break them in on a 6 mi run. My feet were in pain. Not sure what to do, as these wee my go to favorites.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable when standing or running I've worn Asics before. These fit fine as far as length and width goes. When I am just sitting around with my feet up, I feel as though the blood supply is diminished due to the sole pressing up against the bottom of my feet. It doesn't matter how loose the shoelaces are either. They are comfortable to run in and I have no problems when I'm standing. Other than that they are perfect. The laces stay tied, they are cool enough when running when it's warm out. I have good arch support and the sole is cushiony, but not overly so.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is my second pair!a I usually wear Asics Kayanos, but they've changed the toe box on those. So I tried these, and find them more comfortable. So I bought this second pair for back up if Asics changes this style like they did the Kayanos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable The ASICS shoe is very comfortable and recommended by my son who is a physical therapist. I walked the Susan Komen (3-day) walking 20 miles per day in 2013. I trained in one pair and bought a second pair half way through my training process which took about 6 months. I also had good socks but never ended up with one blister. I am sold on ASICS brand. I am a nurse and that is what I am now wearing for work and my workouts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for hikes I have super sensitive feet and thought I would try a trail running shoe for some hikes this summer. Last weekend I did a 10 mile, 5 hour, tough hike. Usually my feet would be killing me but wearing the GT-2000s my feet felt great! I'm super excited for another hike next weekend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Run Small I normally wear a 7.5-8.0, they did not have the 8 so decided I would get the 8.5 since they are workout shoes and my feet tend to swell when I work out. Unfortunately the 8.5 was to small. Guess I should have gone for a full size larger than I normally wear. The width was fine, just the length was short.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gym shoe & hiking shoe Tried them on in the store & my usual size 10 was short at the toe b/c the tip flips up a bit. Ordered a 10.5 online & it fits perfect. ❤️ GT 2000! My 2nd pair. Perfect to transition at gym & tough enough to take on a hike. Highly recommend especially if you have flat feet & over pronate

Questions & Answers

is there any reinforcement in the toe area?  I'm prone to stubbing my toes on roots, etc. My current trail shoes have a thin rubber layer around the toe area so looking for something similar
