Rated 5 out of 5 by from There is NOTHING in the world like HOKA ONE ONES! These are the 3rd pair of HOKAS I own now and I love them! I used to train very hard. Unfortunately, I am fighting a losing battle against Bile Duct Cancer. I wear my HOKAS when I am in the hospital and tell all of my nurses and doctors about them. So many have gone to my favorite place here in the Greenville, South Carolina area, GottaRunSimpsonville/Clemson/Spartanburg. My pal Drew is so attentive as is the staff at ALL of their locations. I can't wait to pick up my Arahis on Wednesday! I am anxious to try out the ORA recovery sandal. Awesome work as always HOKA! I am a customer for the last 3 years and will likely die wearing my favorite shoes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Found a new RACE DAY Shoe! Me... male, 5'7", 150lbs - training for 2nd marathon (somewhere well in the masters age group...) Zero break-in period - felt perfect from step 1 running @ 7.5 mph on flat and up to 4% hills. have several other Hoka shoes - Conquest2, Clayton, Challenger ATR3.. These Arahi feel to best the best of all these rolled into one awesome shoe. Supportive, Lite, Low Impact Rocker, and Fast. I did note that the Arch Support is minimal - but - I have higher arches than most. As a result I replace the generic insole with semi-custom off-the-shelf insoles in all my shoes. This completely corrects this for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too much support... I am a huge fan of Hoka running shoes. I trained for my first marathon in the Clifton 3, which I believe offers the perfect amount of cushion/bounce for runners with collapsing heel/arches. I really wanted to love this shoe, but after 30 miles I could no longer stand the pain in BOTH legs (upper Achilles area just below my calf). This shoe is very rigid and does not provide sufficient flex. As soon as I bought a replacement pair of Cliftons, I immediately noticed the flex and comfort that truly make Hokas the best running shoe IMO. Valuable lesson to just stick with a model that works for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok, but narrow toe box. I have tried running in maximalist shoes when they were the rage. I just couldn't get the hang of it. The few pairs of Hokas I tried felt too tight in the toe box even when I sized up. I gave that up. Now a few years later, I want to give it another chance. This was recommended to me. So I ordered two sizes. Feels alright. Still felt snug. Shoe is comfortable enough. I run in neutral shoes yet I've been advised to wear with ones with support so I picked this. The support seems a bit odd for me. I may just need to give it some time to break in. The other thing I noticed was it felt too hot. I normally just wear thin socks. Even then, I could feel this shoe to be very warm compared to my other shoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Running Shoe I've Owned I average about 20-30 miles per week and run races ranging from 5Ks to marathons. I moderately over-pronate so I have been wearing stability shoes for the past 7 years. My last pair were the Hoka Infinite's and while I liked them very much the wide toe box caused occasional blistering near the big toe on one foot, on runs past 10 miles. I would have bought another pair but they were discontinued. I was excited to try the new Arahi and when I laced them up I realized they were even better than the Infinite, feeling lighter while not sacrificing stability. My only issue was that the toe box was a bit narrow so I decided on the wide width, size 10.5 which is my normal size. I have logged about 40 miles on them and while still early I have to say these are the best shoes I have owed in years, maybe ever. My only comments to the Hoka team are as follows: 1. Please DO NOT discontinue this shoe 2. Please DO NOT tweak major components of this shoe in your next release 3. Please continue to offer this shoe in a wide width I think you have created something great here and hopefully fellow over-pronators will realize the same...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok, but very stiff. got blisters. This is a decent shoe. i got it because it was in wides. With that said, I was able to run in them and during short runs, it was ok, but during any longer runs, I got a hot spot on the ball of my foot. It caused blisters. After looking at it further, the shoe only bent at the tip of the shoe where my toes were. I am convinced since the shoe didnt bend at hat ball of my foot, my foot would bend and rub back an forth on teh inside of the shoe, thus causing the blister. the shoe is light and fast for a stability shoe, but I wish it was more flexible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them I am a size 11 in women's, but always go up a size, so I had to go to men's due to hoka only going to an 11 in women's sizing... I've had feet problems, specifically ball of foot pain, and these shoes really do the them.. I feel faster on my runs too, and they are great in the gym!
