Great support, awesome daily shoes
Easily my favorite daily walking shoes, awesome support with decent cushion. I do see some mixed review on this model. It’s not geared towards maximum softness, but it’s a life saver for people don’t have good arch like me

Just OK!
This is my third pair of Hoka Gaviotas. On average, I walk about 30 miles per week. In my opinion, the Gaviota 4 was a great shoe, the 5 good, and now the Gaviota 6 just OK. It seems as if Hoka has given up on actually trying to improve each subsequent model iteration and only changing it. This does seem to be a very well thought out corporate strategy. Perhaps it is time to look for a different brand. One that actually is committed to improving their products.

Gaviota 6 is mediocre
No, I do not recommend this product
This year’s model of the Gaviota 6 felt very stiff and firm compared to last years Gaviota 5 I was really hoping they would break in after a few times wearing them, but so far they’re terrible. I’m going to have to. find a new shoe unfortunately all the previous years version are sold out everywhere. I feel that this year’s version is an absolute dud.

Almost a perfect fit but needed one improvement

Size ran true - I wear a 13 in Reebok, Keen, Kuru, and Skecher and these Hoka shoes were no different. I did notice the insole outer edges had a sharpness to them...enough that it seem to cut into my arch and the outer edge of my foot. I opted to remove the insole and replace with a Dr Scholl gel and couldn't be happier. Truly one of the lightest and most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I'm only 10 miles into them but feel they will be my go-to shoe for some time.

Great shoe for power walks

Love this shoe. Nice room in the toe box. Very comfortable with great support. I tend to pronate on my right. This counters that nicely. I use this for long brisk walks of 4-5 mile duration on asphalt, hard gravel roads and compacted dirt roads. This works perfectly for me.

My husband normally wears a regular athletic shoe with a flat sole, I purchased this Hoka for him and wasn't sure if he would like it. On the first wearing he had a little issue getting used to the larger sole, but now I see him choosing them every time he goes out.
