Great Helmet but no replacement liners...
I've had my Smith Route helmet for 5 months. It is easily the best fitting, most comfortable bicycle I've ever owned. But..after being hand washed a couple of times, the removable liner has basically disintegrated, and is permanently stinky (like any helmet liner used regularly would be). So I emailed Smith customer service to inquire about ordering a replacement. I called Smith to order a couple of liners and was told, "we don't sell liners for this helmet". I'm blown away- I've never owned a bicycle helmet at any price, from any company, that I couldn't procure liners for when they inevitably got worn out/too funky to wear. Super lame. So this is a great helmet for as long as the little removable liner lasts- after that it's worthless.
Comfortable, works well
No one reviews a helmet unless it is uncomfortable, or it saves your life in an accident. I am the latter. I have had this helmet for about 5 years or so. It has been comfortable, not too hot, and the adjustability has been great. I wear it over caps and beanies in the winter. In the end, the helmet did it's job well when I took a high speed crash on the gravel bike. While the accident was sever, the head injuries were minimal. I truly feel I would not be alive to write this review if it wasn't for the helmet. I have already bought another Smith helmet to replace it, and will always be brand loyal to Smith at this point.
good fit, not great airflow
Fit is excellent, straps and dial adjustment are easy. Airflow is lacking compared to my other helmets (Giro and uvex). Too hot for a warm day ride. For long summer rides, I suggest you find a design with better ventilation. Did not come with replacement pads.
Perfect helmet for me!
When your favorite color is orange and last name is Smith, well nuff said there.. Helmet is a great fit, light weight and easy to adjust.
Very comfortable
This helmet is very lightweight and comfortable. I also like the ease of adjusting the straps. I highly recommend it.
Lightweight and cool helmet
Lightweight, cool, and love the color! An overall great helmet. The only downfall is that it does not have a visor.
Fits well and very light
Been riding with this helmet for 2 weeks now and fits correctly, vented properly, and is comfortable.
