Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Design, Terrible Zippers I bought this suitcase for a lightweight carryon and "small airplanes overseas" suitcase in October 2013. Initially I was very happy with it, but this year I have had great difficulty with the zippers. They haven't broken, but have stuck. I can't get the expansion one closed, and on my last two extended trips overseas I frequently had great difficulyy getting the main zipper to close on the corner where material is fraying, and occasionally had trouble getting it to open at the same spot. I now consider it useless for any trip out of the country. I always had good luck with Eagle Creek products in the past, but am very disappointed with this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great bag. I use this bag for business trips and it has been great. It carries every thing I need for a week long business trip without an issue. The construction of this bag is great. It is very sturdy and I am sure it will last a long time. My only complaint about this bag is packing it as suggested with the Eagle Creek Pack It system. The website gives you a suggestion for packing this bag and what products are required. I purchased all of recommended Eagle Creek products but they do not fit in the bag as shown. They will all fit if you make some changes such as putting the folder in the front compartment. Unfortunately that makes the front outside pocket of the bag very tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall, couldn't be happier! I travel almost every week for business. I stay Mon-Thurs in most instances. I am able to fit everything I need for the trips into this carry-on. I have had it go under the plane about half the time when I ride in puddle-jumpers. After close to a year of use, the only parts of the product that show wear and tear are the ropes on the zippers (one has broken off) and the skid plate at the bottom (but that's what it is designed for!) If I ever though of buying a larger piece of luggage, I would come here first, hands down. I also use a 2 sided cube and the medium folder!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really great carry on. I purchased my first Tarmac Carry on in September. Since then it has traveled from NH to CA, Spain, and Israel. It is well designed, can carry a lot, and is easy to maneuver (even when packed to the gills). I like the coat gadget for securing items draped on top of the suitcase. I had no problems being allowed to carry on the 22inch in both Europe and the Middle East. I liked the bag so much I bought a second one as a holiday gift for my husband.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love Eagle Creek but... about 6 years ago, I bought my first Tarmac roll-aboard. This year i decided that it needed replacement. Under Eagle's No Matter What warranty, I was able get it replaced with a new one. It's great! strong zippers all around. A couple extra clips and straps that weren't part of my old one. Redesigned internals to give a little better space control. All in all, a great bag. I expect that this lasts through my next 500K miles with no issues. If there's a small downside, it is actually just a little smaller than my original bag. I think it's in the depth, not sure. But when I fill it with my normal travel things for the week, I have to work to get them all in. BTW, I pack heavy. Here's a typical list for a 4 day trip. Toiletry bag (12"x6"x5"), 4 pairs of slacks, 4 dress shirts/sweaters, 2 sports jackets, 5 underwear, 7 t-shirts, 2pr Dress shoes, 1pr running shoes, 2 belts, gym outfit, Try that in a normal roll-aboard. I looked everywhere for something that would hold similar volumes. Didn't find anything that seriously competed. I travel 100% of the time, so carrying the right bag is critical to my mindset. I'll stay with Eagle Creek.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bag I travel weekly for work and this is a terrific bag. It fits in all overhead bins except for a few small puddle jumpers. I would buy this bag again in a heartbeat. If I could change anything it would be the expandable zipper and the top compartment zipper. They should be the same thick gauge, durable zipper as the main compartment. Instead, they are the cheap thin zippers. Also the bottle opener/key chain should be secured by a small carabiner or other mechanism that better latches it to the bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bags -- pack well and last forever I just bought this bag to replace a much older (10+ years) almost identical Eagle Creek bag that is still travel worthy. I replaced the older bag because I never actually used the convertible backpack features and wanted the couple of extra cubic inches of space you get without the backpack. The older bag is not my only other Eagle Creek product -- this company is absolutely the best bag maker on the market. I have destroyed other brands (sometimes I need a second bag for longer trips) with much less use. This is a great bag: It has lots of well organized space, is soft enough to squeeze into tight quarters, it is light yet extremely durable. Eagle Creek seem to have figured out how to keep the wheels on their bags intact and functional -- something that other makers find elusive. The zippers on Eagle Creek bags might eat a stray item, but the zipper bounces back. I love the coat carry feature: Very thoughtful. Great bag. Very well made, I can not say enough good about it. Absolute bang for the buck.
