Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soles tore off the toe I received the BC X-6 75mm as a gift but since it was out of season the boots had been sitting in my closet for several months without use. I finally put them on and was initially very pleased due to the comfort of the boot, and decided to take them for a very short trial run prior to taking them on a longer multi-day ski trip. I was so glad I tested them-- as no exaggeration, these boots completely broke apart within 30 minutes of first use. Clearly a manufacturer defective boot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from fell apart after 15 miles; can't be repaired I have worn these up to 17 hours at a time skiing on groomed trails, glaciers, and forest in Alaska. Some internet searching will show that my experiences below are pretty common: PROS [] These fit great for a wide foot [] They strike a nice balance between flexibility for kicking and gliding and stiffness for rough terrain [] Warm, etc. CONS [] They lasted 15 miles before the soles started peeling off at the toe, due to the kick-and-glide movement. Eventually the entire soles detached from both boots, from the toe to around the ball of the foot. [] Local boot repair places said they were made with poor materials and couldn't be repaired. [] The decorative plastic cuff does not add downhill control, as one can check by simply skiing with one closed tight and one all the way open. [] The cord lock on the interior quicklace system doesn't provide enough friction to hold the laces, so your boots effectively don't stay tied.
