Nice watch, can't wear it

Watch does what it should although the daily step count is never right. The band will fall apart in about a year. First the loops that hold the excess band will just fall off in couple of month then the whole band will develop a crack and now you got yourself a useless desktop watch. The customer support will not help since the warranty expires in the year. And that's when the watch is now part of you house decoration, not a hiking companion. Don't buy it. It's the greatest waste of money

Loads of data

I have had this watch for about 2 weeks and have done a few of runs with it. Links up with satellites very quickly. Gives loads of data. I have had no problems like the other reviewer. However, I did sync the watch right out of the box and uploaded the software update before even putting it on my wrist.

Watch crashes, customer service dismal

Within a week of purchase, despite the GPS function being off, the watch crashed twice. I had to completely recharge, it remained unresponsive until a combination of button pushes woke it up at factory settings. I reported the model, serial number and photos of the watch in the online Suunto customer service request interface. After a few days wait, I received a one line email asking me what device I am using! Incredible.

Does not work for Skiing -- Do NOT buy

I bought this watch to track my vertical while skiing. I have just returned from 2 separate trips and this watch does not do what it is advertised to do. It can't continuously track altitude, so it is worthless for the purpose I bought it. I am going to get a Garmin, which others on the trip were using with much greater success

This is a cheap product masquerading as high end

My husband and I have two of these watches, one in blue and one in black that we got in February of 2018. They worked great for the first couple of months but then things started going downhill. First we noticed the altimeters were waaaaay off sync from each other. If they were just a couple hundred feet off then I wouldn't think too much of it, but it was by thousands of feet. Once my watch said I was at 25,000ft! We'd have to manually enter the correct altitude and it would be ok for a while then it would be off again. My watch went through a real crazy ordeal when I was hiking the Colorado Trail this summer. I had decided to buy an ultralight solar panel just because I wanted to use this watch. But after a week on the trail my watch started going crazy. It would think I was moving when I was actually sitting still, or say I was moving at 10 mph. After hiking maybe three miles, it said I had gone 18. And my altitude was all wrong. I couldn't reset it and ended up calling customer service when I finished the trail. I did not appreciate the dead weight. They had me do a factory reset which fixed the problem for a little while, but it happened again. I started thinking mine was defective until the same thing started happening with my husbands watch! And just recently I was biking when my watch literally fell off my wrist. I didn't fall on it or anything and the little latch just broke. I'm not sure it's worth fixing, it's such a piece of junk. We had been so excited about these watches but it hasn't even been a year and neither of our watches are anywhere near reliable. I would expect much more from such a high priced product. This feels like a junk watch from Walmart or something. We are both very into outdoor sports and seeing some of the watches our friends have, I have to say there are better ones out there. I do not recommend this product.
