One jacket wonder!

When I received this jacket, I was amazed by how lightweight it was. As someone who runs cold, I was concerned about it keeping me warm, but I was pleasantly surprised! The hood fits perfectly over my helmet and the down on the inside keeps me warm when the weather rolls in. However, I do not find it too warm when the sun is out! I use this for both resort and backcountry skiing.

Love this jacket!

Spent awhile trying to find a lightweight jacket that was waterproof, had a snow skirt, and pit zippers. Found this one and absolutely love it. I've been using it a lot for winter hikes. Good on its own, but once its below 15 Celsius, I normally add a down layer and merino wool underneath and its still great. The only downside and its really not that big of a deal, is that the zipper is a little tricky. Its hasn't broken or anything and once you get it started, its fine.

Great jacket!!

I got this to be my main winter jacket and it has not failed me yet. It is surprisingly light, soft, warm, breathable and waterproof. It's form fitting but still fits great with a sweatshirt underneath. It has a "belt" so snow and wind don't "sneak" in around the waist. The sleeves are a little long on the Medium but it works for me as i'm 5'9" (140 lbs). So far it has kept me warm in temps around 32 degrees. Once the colder weather hits, I'll be testing it out.

So pleased with this jacket!

I was so surprised when I received this jacket at how soft the material is! I'm used to snow jackets being made from swishy material like rain jackets, but this jacket is quiet and comfortable. I originally wondered whether or not it was truly waterproof but this jacket has yet to disappoint! I have long arms and had no issues with the sleeves being long enough for anyone else checking this out with monkey arms.

Perfect for Resort Skiing

As an avid backcountry-skier-turned-mom, I was looking for an inbounds, resort skiing jacket. This one fits the bill. Provides warmth without being too bulky, and has passed the windproof test. Haven't tested it for waterproofness yet. I'm 5'9" 140 lbs and the medium fit with plenty of room for base layer(s).

A Warm Shell

I ordered the Offchute hoping it to be a less bulky winter coat for living in Alberta, Canada. I got the red/pink one and it's an awesome, vibrant looking coat with an overall flattering design (ie. looks great in photos). I have broader shoulders and longer arms so I ordered the medium to account for that, as well, to allow for layering. It's the right width but the sleeves are even a little long for me (but this is just a minor detail). Probably could have done with it being a tad more fitted in the body, but to be fair, my broad shoulders stopped me from getting the small which is the better fit in the body. Performance wise, I love how apt it is at cutting the wind and also that it's waterproof which makes it a great layering piece. However, I was expecting it to be warmer than it actually is and for using it as a winter coat during low and moderate activity levels it requires a nice puffy jacket layered underneath. I really don't wear this coat by itself for days colder than -10*C and would say that below -5*C it stops being comfortably cozy. Overall, all the features, pockets, etc. make it to be a really nice coat and I see myself using this for many seasons to come.
