Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for the OCD or easily aggitated The backpack fits perfect! No riding up of the shirt, stays in place, and is comfortable. BUT!!! There are so many tiny little floppy bungees near the face. Why these aren't placed on the outside of the top pockets is beyond my engineering comprehension. And if you have headphones with wires dangling...you may have an anxiety attack if you're prone to them. I've almost tossed the pack into the woods about 30 times from stuff getting caught on them. Up to you what you can tolerate. Overall a great pack for carrying water and small objects. FYI...An IPhone 7 Plus does not fit in the zipper pocket. And no small pockets for salt tabs like the old and awesome AK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I'm a newie to trail running and I researched thoroughly before I purchased this vest. I actually wanted to buy the original Jenny but it was out of stock and UD told me that the new version would come out, so be patient. I'm glad I waited! I LOVE this vest, there are so many pockets to store everything I need. When I'm running I forget that I'm wearing the vest. I really like the flexible bottles but one of them leaked from the body (there must be an invisible tear) so I had to return and get the new one. I'm shorty (5 feet) so this vest fits me well and I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best women's hydration vest for ultramarathons This version of the Jenny Collection Ultra Vesta is a big improvement over the first-generation one. Even though I loved the original version and used it for two years, I'm grateful for these updates, which include: bigger pockets to hold soft Body Bottle 17-oz flasks (instead of 10-oz hard bottles); bigger pockets in front, including one big enough for an iPhone6; better pocket design in back, including outer mesh pocket good for stuffing in bulky, wet clothing; easier access to get the optional hydration reservoir in back in and out; great fit all over! Having soft bottles (which collapse on themselves, creating more pocket space and eliminating sloshing noise) is much preferable to me than carrying handheld or having only a reservoir in back (which you can't see and hence don't know how much liquid is left). For longer self-supported outings, I use an optional 70oz reservoir in back to supplement the bottles up front; but for races with aid stations, the two bottles alone are adequate for hydration. I highly recommend this vest for women trail runners and hikers. It's perfect for racing ultras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried 3, this had the best fit; + nice features. First I must say that I was skeptical about whether I could tolerate a vest - I perspire a LOT when exercising and I didn't think I would like having so much of my upper body covered. My concern was unfounded - after a 7 mile inaugural run in this UD Ultra Vesta, I'm a running vest convert. The vest was snug but I didn't feel that it was holding in my body heat. No more running with a bouncy waist belt for me! I'm 5'11" and 145 lbs, with a 36A bust/chest, and the M/L fits me perfectly. One possible reason my running experience was so good is the weight of the vest. The Ultra Vesta weighs only 7 ounces. I also ordered the Nathan Women's Intensity and its weight is almost double that of the UD Ultra Vesta (13 oz for the Nathan). I will mention that I was doubtful about how the water bottles would feel on the front of the UD vest, in the bust area. I previously tried on the UD Men's SJ Ultra Hydration 3.0 vest (sometimes men's products fit me better because I'm tall) but the water bottle tops were in exactly the wrong place. Ouch! (My husband liked the fit just fine though, and kept the vest.) On this women's Ultra Vesta, the bottle tops sit higher; if I slow down I can sip from the bottle without removing it from its pouch - although I probably shouldn't recommend that. :-) Lastly, the bite valves aren't too hard to press but there is no leakage. The wide bottle openings are nice - I can add ice cubes if I like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best women's hydration packs First, I have to say I returned it, although I really, really liked how it fit. My primary purpose was to pack layers of clothes after warming up during runs. It would fit two layers, including the REI polartec jacket and a shirt. Although the gear capacity of this vest and Nathan's Vaporshadow were the same, the Nathan divided their space into smaller pockets that weren't useful for me. However, I decided to go for the Ultimate Direction PB vest (unisex) that would be more versatile because it had more storage capacity for some hikes that I do. The PB vest generally fits fine, but not as well as the Ultra Vesta.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love product overall, hate the body bottles Let me first be VERY clear that I love Ultimate Direction products and currently have the original SJ Ultra Vest which I've worn for years through many different ultra events and hikes. I decided to replace it with this vest due to the idea that the body bottles would bounce less and that this is a women's fit vest. Vest fit: Fit is excellent, very comfortable and adjustable. I first ordered the Med/Lrg but had to exchange for the Small/Med (My chest measurement is 34" but I'm slender and tall). Body bottles: I really wanted to like these.....I really didn't. Can't stand having to put them back in after removing. I like to be able to easily remove a bottle, carry for a few minutes while I drink, and then replace without having to slow down and this was essentially impossible for me to do with these bottles as they become extremely floppy as fluid volume decreases. They do ride very close to the body and do not bounce which is nice. Overall, the quality of the vest seemed excellent but it did not work for my taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a woman's body I have tried so many packs and they all bounced or irritated my shoulders/under armpits. This one has adjustable front straps on the chest for different chest sizes, adjustable shoulders and around torso for curves too. Plenty of pockets up front for quick access to phone, bottles, etc. love the bungees on the back to tuck a jacket under. Best pack around for 10-20 miles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't tell I'm wearing it. I have the earlier version and love it! I always feel a little self conscious sporting specialized, expensive equipment but this was a gift and it's unbelievably comfortable. I hardly know it's there yet I can carry virtually whatever I need for a run. The fit can be adjusted nicely with clothing (weather) changes. I'll say the larger pockets and collapsible bottles sound do like excellent improvements on the current version. Guess I'll have to drop some hints for my next birthday.

I'm not sure what size is need. I'm 5'7 130 lbs. I'm thinking small but the extra small/ small maybe I need medium? Any suggestions?

Asked by: Mrsdlamb
The best way to determine what size will fit is to compare your chest measurements to the size guide. Sizing is as follows: XS/SM: 23 - 36 in. M/L: 26 - 43 in.
