Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent engineering The features on this little jewel of a lantern sold me. First, it has an 18650 rechargeable battery for power. This particular battery has a long life and allows for compact shape. Second, it is rechargeable with GZ's Nomad solar panels (my next purchase). While a tad heavier than cheaper lanterns on the market, it's solid, lasts a long time on a charge, and doesn't create dead batteries that get tossed in the trash. It's well made and should last me for years. Oh, yeah, the light range is excellent - dim (perfect for inside my tent) to bright - good light for eating or reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light House Mini Lantern This is a very adaptable piece for use in all kinds of places and perdictiments. It has a varity of ways to use the light being only half of the out put or the full output. It h as come in very handy in the work shop doing repairs on a myriad of items because you can hang the light or set in a way that it allows the use of both hands. It is a pefect fit for me in many aspect of my activities and have purchased several for childen and grandchildren as Christimas presents. Outstanding quality of workmanship as well as a well designed recharge circuit built in with attached cable. I would recommend this piece highly to all in the market for a protable light for any use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this little lightweight Light! I purchased this light for a photography trip to Aspen CO two weeks ago. It fit great in by backpack and traveling in the plane. The Lighthouse Mini put out a lot of light. We went out to photograph the Milky Way over the Maroon Bells. Not only did it produce light for me to photograph in, but it also illuminated to far bank over the lake. I wasn't expecting that. Plus I can charge my iPhone from it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact light & power source I love this compact light. It's small enough to carry backpacking. As long as you're not trying to run it at full brightness all night long while charging your phone, your likely to have plenty of light for all your needs. If you think you'll need more power, you can get an extra battery. Speaking of batteries, they use a proprietary 18650 battery. It is designed with negative AND positive terminals on BOTH ends of the battery. This design is very efficient for the design of this lantern. It means you can't put the battery in wrong even in the dark. The downside is that they're the only source for the battery and they price it with shipping 2 to 3 times what a standard 18650 battery would cost. Even with the proprietary battery, I still consider this a 5 star product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Little Lantern! I have some of the older and larger Lighthouse lanterns and they have proven themselves to be extremely helpful in power outage situations here in the Northeast. So when these smaller versions were released I immediately jumped on them and order up a few of them. These are even better than the old ones in that they are almost half the size. They are dazzlingly bright, have simple features and you can swap out the rechargeable l-ion battery if you don't want to be limited to just USB recharging. Fantastic piece of kit for a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent lamp Bought this a few weeks back. It was brilliant in store. Testing in garage it continued to be a brilliant source of light. On camping in outdoors, it proved to be too small a light source to light a larger area like a larger, less powerful lantern. It was fantastic in the tent for reading and getting dressed/undressed at dusk/dark. The camp table proved a bit too much for it. Charging and use was awesome, just need to realize its limitations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lantern Bought mine two months ago. Use it sitting outside at night. One of the best features is being able to control the amount of light given off and in which direction. Small and compact, perfect for a backpack. Been recharging it with my Nomad 7 solar panel. Used it once to charge my iPhone 6 from 44% to 90%. Still had plenty of medium light for the next few hours. Bought a spare battery which works out really well for a full weekend of use. Typical useful, quality goal zero product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome light I bought this Lantern for the sole purpose of hanging in the tent. When I first open the package I was a little shocked on how small it was. I thought to myself there is no way this is going to light up anything. I went into the bedroom and turned off the lights and had complete darkness and when I turned on the lantern it lit up the entire room. I have no doubt that it'll light the tent. So far there is nothing I don't like a out it. It will sure be nice having a light in the tent on backcountry trips vs hanging a flashlight from the top of the tent.

The first time I used this, the lantern kept shutting off within a few seconds. I made sure to have it fully charged before use. Do you know why this is happening?

This lantern does not have any sort of waterproof rating due to the open USB port. We do not recommend taking this out in the rain.

just letting you guys know that the video is incorrect. On the highest setting at 210 lumens, the Lighthouse Mini is rated to last 4 hours not 7. It runs 7 hours on the highest setting only when using the Half-light function. (low side)
