Rated 2 out of 5 by from Still searching for the perfect car camping pad After years of fighting with my Big Agnes pad(it just kept popping a hole in the corner next to the valve, I decided to try something else. Tried another pad but it was a bit noisy-friends complained because I thrash and it was obvious. So I tried this pad after doing some research. Its thickness was wonderful and I thought it would be perfect. Alas, they didn't have a sample blown up or I would have found out it was incredibly noisy. Every time I turned over, it was like crumbling an emergency blanket in your hand. Yikes. The Speedvalve thing only sort of worked. I checked out their video but still ended up doing too much blowing. Bottom line,I returned it quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from comfortable ... just like my bed I purchased two NeoAir Camper SV mattresses for me and my GF and we used them for about two weeks on Lofoten, Norway. While it is true the R-value isn't especially high and the mattress weights aver 1000g, it provides unbeatable comfort. Each morning I woke up fresh and filled with energy. I have a discal hernia, so the quality of the mattress is essential for my for a good night sleep. And the NeoAir Camper SV delivered. If the comfort is the priority, for me, this is a five star product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a great sleeping pad! I love this and have taken it on two camping trips already. Is perfect for my tendency for side and stomach sleeping. I do wish that this was available in a 26" wide short version. Super comfy!! Very happy with the purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too bad I purchased this 6 months ago and finally got to use it on a five day beach camping trip. It takes me about 20 breaths of air to get it mostly inflated then I have to roll the speed valve closed and blow into the small black valve to get it to a comfortable pressure. I had to add air to it every night before bed because it would slowly deflate every day. However it was still quite comfortable all night. My Big Agnes pad would stay fully inflated for days. It does make a good bit of noise when you move around but it wasn't loud enough to wake me or bother anyone else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hey! It Fits and It's Awesome Big Boy here, 5'11" and just either side of 3 hundie. I was looking for something lighter and more space efficient than my 12 plus year old DreamTimes. The NeoAir Camper SV (XL Version) is everything i hoped it would be. Takes about 12 big breathes to fill it enough and the roll down closure is well...a snap. Picked up the fitted sheet and the Vela HD Quilt to go with it. All together this might just be the best car camping set up ever. Truly, set up and packing up are a breeze..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Its nice but not that fast to fill. I ordered the NeoAir Camper Large but got the NeoAir Camper SV that was nice since it differ in price and it looks easier to inflate. I tried to inflate it twice now and yes you inflate it to 60% with the SpeedValve quite fast but its not enough if you want it fill it to 100% so i closed the SpeedValve and used the smaler valve to inflate the rest of the NeoAir Camper SV. It might get better after a few more times but if you compare that to inflate the NeoAir Camper with Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Pump Sack i think it is easyer and you can fill it 100% right away, note that i havent tried that, so i cant really say, but then you dont have to use your lungs at all, if that is something you want to avoid. The real speed in the SpeedValve is when you are going to pack your equipment. It deflates in seconds. The NeoAir Camper SV comes with a "pillow" if you compare it with the older version NeoAir Camper, however it weighs a bit more, but then again, you don´t have to bring the Pump Sack with this new one so i guess the weight probably be the same. I belive that its a great product and it probably get easer to inflate with time. It is nice and steady and if you want something with less weighs you probably get something else. The only thing i think is a bit of a thing, is the

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real upgrade to my former self-inflatable I bought this mattrass a couple of weeks ago and also one for my travelmate. Our demands were: light, small package, isolation for spring/autumn and comfort. This seems impossible, but after I read about the SV we decided to wait untill the mattrass was available at our local dealer. We used them for a week now, on our motorbike trip, and we love them. Good weight/package/isolation and good comfort. After seeing the instruction video it still was a bit weird to blow your own mattrass but it actually works great! About 10 blows is enough, after that some minor adjustment through the normal valve if you want a bed that is harder. The bed crackles a bit but we were used to that after a couple of nights (we both use our own tent but it wasn't necessary to get further away from eachother!). Also deflating is quick and much faster than normal beds. And after our return at home there is another advantage: Therm-a-Rest says you don't need to store the mattrass inflated, so it doesn't take much space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great innovative product I purchased this a month ago I'll hit some key points to help you make a decision. It's small compact and light! It took me a few times to get used to inflating it, but the more you use it the easier it becomes. I started off with your basic foam sleeping pad that I had to roll up and tie up with clips it took up way to much space and started to curl if not used on a regular basis, then moved onto a self inflating pad, which was great but was a pain to pack up once done always needing a flat surface and putting pressure to push out all the air, it also took an ample amount of time to inflate and as with all self inflating pads needs to stored inflated. This neo air sv solves all those problems. Hands down. It inflates in seconds packs up quickly & comes with a bag to store it in and is very small to store (does not need to be stored inflated). Already had a few jealous friends jump online and buy it. If your still unsure visit your local REI they are a great source of info, & can direct you to a pad just right for your needs.

I need a soft pad. I see this pad deflates quickly. Is it possible/easy to just let a little air out to get the right softness, or does it only deflate a large amount of air at once?

Asked by: Bill Drake
The valve on the top left corner of the NeoAir Camper SV Sleeping Pad will allow you to easily let small amounts of air out of the pad.
