Imported.

Many sleeping bags are rated for temperature by an independent testing protocol, the European Norm (EN) 13537. Each bag gets two ratings: a Comfort rating and Lower Limit rating. The Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average woman (or "cold sleeper") comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep an average man (or "warm sleeper") comfortable. Everyone's body and sleep comfort is different, so EN Ratings are merely a guideline to help you compare products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Basecamp Bag REI has done it again. I purchased three of these, for me and two sons to use in a six day front country basecamp. Kept us cozy at night both in tents and under the stars. The top hood kept our camp pillows in-place nicely and prevented cold air from entering the bag from the top. The synthetic fill worked well, and paid-off when one of my sons spilled the contents of a water bottle onto his bag, and the other one placed a wet bathing suit on top of his. This bag is as comfortable as any premium backpacking bag, with a great design, at an awesome price-point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice 3 Season Bag I took this backpacking a couple weekends ago, and it got down to about 34 degrees Fahrenheit at night. I wore my fleece to bed and had a bag liner, so take that into account, but I was nice and warm. I slept like a baby. It packs down pretty small and the hood worked great. Nice and roomy around my feet too. I'm very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trail Pod 29 Review This is a great synthetic bag. Used in tent with outside temps in high 40's and stayed warm. Nice and wide, good for side sleepers. Can stuff pretty small and is light weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty Warm & Light Weight I'm 5"2 and ordered the Short size, which still gave me a lot of room to move around. The material is very light weight but warm. I used this for the 1st time in for our Mountains-to-Sea Trail hike in May. It packed down easily and fit well in my 65 liter Osprey pack. The nights got down to low 40's and with my low iron deficiency I was surprised to still be very warm when I woke in the morning. Great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for Scout backpacking Great product for the price. Not top of the line but overall excellent. My son & I slept outside in 38F under the stars and he was actually a bit on the warm side - wore light weight thermals & sleepware & beenie. Only comment my son had was wishing it was a little easier to tighten up the top. Do need to be careful with the zipper. He is taking this on Philmont backpacking trip. Comes with its own stuff sack but using Sea to Summit compression sack to compress down even smaller than soccer ball. So while not the lightest nor the smallest, the price could not be beat for its performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Light, Compact bag Just finished a 4 day hike in Colorado using this bag. Bag rolls up very nicely and isn't too hard to get into the compression sack. Weather got down to low 20s and the bag worked out fine. For the price this is a great sleeping bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very warm and roomy Used this bag on Isle Royale National Park last month. Night temps in the low to mid 40's and had bag unzipped every night. I am 6' 2" and the long was awesome. Very warm and super roomy!!! Loved it except every time I tried to use the zipper, it got stuck!!!! Every Time!!! Other than that, loved it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight compactable, perfect bag. I bought this bag a couple weeks ago and it is the perfect bag. It's easily compactable and super lightweight, I was skeptical that it wouldn't be warm enough but that hasn't been the case. Temperatures got down to the low 30's and with a thin layer I remained warm throughout the night.

I'm 5'3" and 112 lbs. I get pretty cold when I sleep but I also move around A LOT in my sleep (roll around and move my legs) would you recommend the short size or would I feel too constricted?

Asked by: everose21
Based on your height, we recommend the short length. This will give you optimal thermal efficiency.

You mentioned that the Lyra 24 is compatible with this bag. However, it is only available in long. Can you recommend another compatible women's bag?

The picture makes it look like this has only a 3/4 length zipper. Can you confirm?

Asked by: Bike Tourer KW
The zipper is the standard length for this type of sleeping bag. It stops about one foot from the bottom of the foot area.

Does this zip into the REI Joule sleeping bag?

Asked by: Elyse9
The Trail Pod cannot be zipped into the Joule. The Trail Pod has a #7 zipper coil while the Joule has a #5. The REI Flash Sleeping Bag and REI Igneo are bags that can zipped into the Joule. https://www.rei.com/product/862529/rei-flash-sleeping-bag https://www.rei.com/product/862532/rei-igneo-sleeping-bag
