Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome little lantern. I bought this a few weeks back but haven't had a chance to actually use it outdoors. I have been using it around my house and all I can say is wow. I have a black diamond headlamp and this work very similarly. It goes from 200 lumens to very few just by holding the button. It also holds its charge for a very long time. I love that I don't need to continuously buy batteries. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this product. I know $80 is a bit for a light but I haven't regretted it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, convenient, and heavy this is a great lantern and very bright. I bought it because it has a rechargeable battery (and also has backup AAA option). I am planning to use it for car camping only as it's much too heavy to carry this backpacking. Black Diamond makes much lighter weight lanterns more appropriate for backpacking if that's what you're looking for. The USB port is handy if you need that for powering your devices or charging your phone. It DOES include a USB cable for charging it, just not an AC adapter which you probably already have. A couple answers in the Q&A made it sounds like a cable is not included but mine did have a cable. I love that this will last 50 hours on the rechargeable battery on FULL brightness (I think that's correct). That's a long time to not have to worry about saving battery power and just leave the thing on full brightness as long as you want. On a single trip that's more than enough time for me and I wouldn't worry if using it to charge a phone or other USB device too. In fact, I just bought a Big Agnes Rattlesnake SL4 Mountain glow tent that has a USB plug so I can leave the AAA battery pack for the tent at home and use this to power the tent lights. So now my tent is also rechargeable. And I can also use this lantern around the campsite as needed. I've read the mountain glow lighting is nice but not really bright enough to read by so that's why I bought this. Yes, $80 is a lot for what it is, but if you can get over that and don't mind the weight, it's fantastic.
