The loungewear of my dreams
These shorts are fantastic. I bought a second pair within a month because I live in them (around the house of course, but I've walked to the corner store to get half-and-half in them and they worked well for that too) and needed something to wear whilst washing my first pair. They're the perfect length and not 'baggies' in the sense of the 'baggy' clothes we grew up with in the latter half of the nineties, but in the sense of the Beach Boys song, as in 'not tight'. They're great to sleep in too. I did have to cut the lining out, if you are just using them for swim trunks you'd be fine, but they really shine as general purpose shorts and loungewear and for that the mesh had to go. The pockets are big (they are the entire length of the short and there's one back one (right side) with a snap. Although they don't have a belt or belt loops you could probably take them camping (canoeing at least, I wouldn't trust the drawstring waist backpacking, or to wear in camp). Oh, I am 6', 175lbs and the medium fits great. Fits true to size. I could probably squeeze into the small if I wanted something real snug but the large would probably be kind of puffy on my bod.
Exceptional shorts
I've worn Patagonia Baggies for over 20 years. In the Tetons I used them to hike, swim and sleep. They are the most versatile short I've ever worn, and last for many years. They are from Patagonia after all.
Awesome and versatile.
I like these, have had some for years. I do miss the old poly/cotton blend ones they made in the 1980's but these aren't far behind those.
