Old-school flair meets modern twang in the men's Patagonia Hydropeak Volley 16 in. shorts. These lightweight surf trunks feature recycled polyester, side pockets and an elasticated waistband.
- Recycled polyester blend fabric with 4-way stretch is lightweight and dries fast
- PFC-free durable water repellent (DWR) coating helps moisture bead up on the surface; PFC-free means it does not contain perfluorinated chemicals

My favorite shorts
Love these shorts. I want to wear them everyday. They're perfect. Great length above the knee, can wear them in the water or around town. Mesh pockets drain water, the fabric hangs well. A little stiffer than super lightweight boardshorts, but not canvas-y. Perfect all-around short.
I felt compelled to buy these trunks
So, I have two other Patagonia swimsuits from the 90s & the oughts. But these good-looking trunks were on sale at the end of the warm season. They are lightweight with no liner, well cut & constructed, with highly functional pockets. I really like wearing them.
Versatile Board Short
I love the stretch and cut of these board shorts. The 4 way stretch is really helpful when moving around. The pockets are an added bonus. Best part: they dry quick.
Salty waters
Not as comfortable as Vuori brand shorts, but better quality. Stains easily (sunscreen will not wash out). Attractive color scheme. Dries quickly.
Not great for $75
These are sooo thin, which make them quite revealing when wet. The gold color also changes colors when wet, and the drying process takes a bit longer in the crotch than the sides. So it looks like you wet yourself when drying, and its just so revealing with how the wet fabric falls on your privates. This is not worth $75 unless you want to wear something under
Swimwear
I like the adjustable drawstring. Colors fine. This is my go-to workout lap swimsuit.

These shorts are nothing short of great, from muddy and rocky river bottoms, to the top of 14ers. No signs of wear and tear. I’m tall and slim, these fit slightly longer than traditional trunks, but shorter than board shorts on me. Not baggy or tight.
My favorite pair of shorts
I love these so much I bought three pairs! These are my go-to casual shorts. The short inseam compliments the legs nicely and they actually fit! When the wife thinks they look good on you, you know it's a winner.

Very nice boarding shorts
Love these shorts. I ordered a larger size at first and returned it, then ordered the smaller one. Both times I got my order in the mail in less than three days. They were very efficient in shipping. The quality of the swimsuit is great. Colors are very nice. Have in mind that these are swimming trunks; they are meant to be worn with a swimsuit 🩲 underneath. As a swimmer I am not a fan of boarding shorts but these are very nice.
