Great Work boot

I bought a pair of these a couple of years ago - my company paid - I like Keens toe box but when I bought these with the steel toe!! I was amazed!! I've always had problems with the toe on work boots but I wear these and I forget they have a steel toe. They are extremely comfortable and would wear them all the time, except I have to lace them up - kind of a jock - just lazy:-)

Definitely not a work boot

Not a good outsole (not vibram) and ripped from bottom/edge at 3rd month. Also not a real waterproof/Dry linen, i get my feet all sweat and wet. 4 months for outsole fall in pieces. I have used Vasque, Wolverine, Danner and last 2-3 yrs and still around for house work. Here I included 2yr old Vasque replaced with new KEEN. WILL NOT BUY KEEN AGAIN

Boots Will Not Hold Up to Homeowner Use

Homeowner use 1-2 times per month My first pair had the shoelace eyelet/grommet rip out in first 2 weeks. Scheels replaced the boots. My second pair have issues with the rubber soles tearing apart on both boot heals. There is also a problem where the steel toe cover plate meets the outside sole on the left boot. This area is where the boot bends when walking. My steel part moves/bends and then pinches my toes. I can take a hard object inside the boot and push/bend this steel area back into the proper location. And things will be good until I walk and bend this area again. Including these boots I own 6 Keen boots/shoes/sandals. I am very happy with my other Keen products. Based on my experience, the Pittsburgh boot lacks quality and I cannot recommend it to others.

We're proud to consciously create KEEN shoes to stand the test of time. It's unclear as to exactly what is happening to your shoes, but we always want to make things right in cases where your shoes failed due to a rare manufacturing defect. We stand behind the quality of our products by offering a one year warranty with every pair of KEEN shoes and we're happy to take a closer look at your pair and provide you with a proper solution. Tongue is too narrow for comfortable wearing

These boots, like all keen boots fit me well. I believe I have a keen foot. They seem to be built pretty well, but I have a major complaint on their design. The tongues on these boots are quite narrow compared to the other key boots I’ve had ( About eight pair now). It as though they thought an eight year-old would be wearing a size 12 boot. There is absolutely no way to lace it to keep the tongue against my ankle versus poking out through the front of the boot. It’s only one issue but it’s major. What were they thinking?

Not very durable.

I have owned 2 pairs of these boots. The first pair lost its waterproofness in 2 months./ I returned them for a new pair. My second pair lasted 2.5 months before the soles started to detach from the uppers. As long as REI keeps replacing them, I will keep wearing them. I work outdoors in commercial construction. I should add that I clean and treat my boots with the recommended leather treatment at least twice a month in an attempt to get the maximum life out of them.

Good boot in the beginning...

I have purchased two pairs of this model. I am a landscaper so I require strong, light work wear since I am on my feet most of the day. Initially they perform well, but do not expect them to last more than 6-8 months. The sole tends to split at the forefoot. Not worth the investment. Will not purchase anymore unless KEEN greatly improves the reliability of their soles.

poor quality and durability

We're ok for the first few times I wore them. Treads started peeling off in small pieces. Then under the ball of my feet, the sole pushes up into my feet. I've owned 2 pair of Keen, both had quality and durability issues early on.

Worn daily for 4 years - Buying Again

I've been wearing my Keen Pittsburg Boots (the yellow version) on a daily bases for 4 years. I work on construction sites in a office role, and have a standing desk. In the first year there was some cosmetic wear, and after the first year they stopping being waterproof. All this made me think i'd need to replace them soon...but they've held up for 4 years.

WALKING ON SUNSHINE!

Being on my feet all day, working in construction, my feet would be killing me in the evening. Not anymore, thank you Keen for creating a safe and effective boot that is incredibly comfortable. Well done! You have a customer for life.
