Awesome work boot
These are an out of the box comfortable boot. I always wore logger style boots and at the end of the day you could tell you were in them all day. It was a change up to go to this style boot but it was worth it,and I'll never go back! I love the fact that they have a removable tongue, me personally I like it in the boot. It keeps your foot planted securely without being to tight. I was a little worried about the width of the boot when I first ordered them as I usually wear a wide size but the fit is amazing. Would highly recommend this boot.
Be all, end all work boot.
This is my fourth pair of Nepal Evos, however my first in the S3 work version. These are a total game changer for railroading. Walking and moving on unstable ballast and terrain can wreak havoc on the feet, ankles, knees and on up the kinetic chain. These boots completely mitigate the ground reaction force effects and minimize the impact over time on the joint in these harsh unforgiving conditions. The ankle support is sublime and when these are combined with SuperFeet (green) insoles, all other boots absolutely PALE in comparison. Take the time to properly lace them up and fit them to your feet… they come with a tongue cushion, which may be useful for some, however my feet move better without it. Best of all, they are completely re-soleable. I believe I will actually use these for alpine mountaineering and hunting, going forward, in place of the regular Nepal Evos, due to the added protection they offer. One heck of a certified safety boot!
