CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE: If your body measurements are midway between two sizes, select the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit. If your body measurements result in different sizes, we recommend using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.

Not the softest wool (a little scratchy) but definitely warm considering how lightweight it is. The fit is very flattering although a little snug around the armpits. I'm 5'10, around 140-145 lbs and usually wear medium or occasionally small shirts. The medium works for me but if I had tried it on in the store I probably would have gone with a large. As a tall woman I appreciate the length of both the torso and the sleeves.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this on first thing every single day in the winter and cooler days in fall and spring. The fabric is silky and soft, and the neckline is VERY flattering. It looks great alone or under a jacket or shirt. The v-neck is wide enough to wear under virtually any sweater and not show, even wide necklines. But the very best thing is that it adds a bulletproof layer of warmth in cold weather. It fits snugly, and doesn't allow any cold air to get to my body. Because the wool breathes, I don't overheat, but never feel cold. I own many, and have gifted them to friends who find them just as perfect as I do!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this top to replace one that is several years old that had gotten a couple of moth holes. The fabric is a bit more substantial than it was then, but is still the lightest weight underlayer I own. The fit is still form-fitting enough to easily wear as an underlayer without it feeling bulky. Love the low, broad neckline, too - it makes a nice cami-like scoop for peeking out from under the top of button-up shirts. I have a couple of these in the short-sleeve style as well. I love that Icebreaker offers products like this one that are flattering and feminine and suitable for everyday wear.
The color is nice, but it is decidedly not the optic white it is marketed as being. In person it is distinctly cream in normal light or sunlight, verging on buttercream or yellow in lower light (not undyed, I don't think, because Icebreaker indicates undyed wool for other of its items). There is also a 13% synthetic content that was not advertised in the specs (I think someone asked that question, and it was later answered at the bottom of the page). Otherwise nice. Definitely see-through; this is meant as an undergarment. Icebreaker runs small so you might want to go up a size.
I have several of these, and love the fabric, and deep neckline. I wear them under sweaters in winter, and sometimes on their own in spring and fall. However, I can only wear them when I'm extra thin. I have broad shoulders, muscular arms, and a substantial bust, and much of the time, the XL is too tight. I see that you're making a few items in larger sizes. Please make this one in sizes larger than XL! I would live in it! Thank you. P.S. Also, please make the Siren Cami in larger sizes. Such a useful piece.
Very flattering and feminine cut. It's great at wicking moisture and drying quickly. It's versatile - I use it both as a base layer under sweaters and as a stand-alone piece. I usually wear a small and it does fit but is very snug. I would probably size up to a medium if I had it to do over.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an Icebreaker siren from years ago, which I love and it still fits great; it's a small. The new sizing is far too tight in the arms (??) and squeezes the torso hard. Too long in the body. I purchased a small and medium to test the new siren sizing, and both fit far too tight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cozy and soft: love the V neck and extra long sleeves. Perfect layering addition to be ever expanding Icebreaker collection. White color adds a glam factor to the style. Hike to tent to dinner.... Five bright stars and complements to the Icebreaker team. You "rock"!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] IB has the best quality merino clothing and this top is not exception to that rule. It is soft and comfortable, great for a cool morning walk or to layer under other pieces on a colder day. I am acquiring a closet-full of IB merino!
Ordered the navy and undyed (off-white). Undyed is see-through and a warm off-white. Navy is opaque. Wish 3-pg, big tag was not sewn into seam! I'm 5'4", 120 lb., A cup - this is upper limit for XS.
