Easy installation and great performance
Needed a trunk rack to carry three bikes, and discovered this rack has been out for years with excellent performance. Found it easy to install and load the bikes onto it. During multiple trips involving highway driving, the rack performed superbly with not one stitch of damage to the car. As an added bonus, discovered we did not need stabilizer bars for my wife's Fuji and my twin daughters' 20-inch bikes which remained level throughout each trip, although other bikes for women and girls may require using this device. This rack remains a truly excellent product that will reliably perform very well carrying up to three bikes.
Great Product
I went through alot of research and very glad I chose this model. Easy to put together and good design. I used this for a 1,250mi one way trip on our Honda HRV. We hit 60 mph winds, heavy thunderstorms and 85 mph speeds. Not one worry. The anti sway locks work fantastic. Smart design for storage. Recommend for all.
Great track record and excellent perforance

Worth every pennt
I just bought a $1600 2001 Subaru Outback and didn't want to spend more on accessorizing it that I did for the car itself. This rack is GREAT! Easily attached to the hatchback/rear gate and carries my Surly Disc Trucker with no problem. I have no doubt it will also carry my Blix eBike, but haven't lifted it on yet.
Easy mount! Fits perfectly.
I apologize up front for reviewing before I have actually transported bikes. I have been putting off getting a rack for my Prius because I thought they appear difficult to mount and unstable. I put it on quickly, it is solid. The instructions tell you what setting to use for your car (by year) and it works perfectly for my car. My daughter and I are small and have adult XS and adult S cannondale mountain bikes and at first I thought the arms were too wide to hold them but I was able to place the arm under the lower frame and secure them both easily. I haven't tried to put all 3 bikes on but I am super psyched that the rack went on my Prius, fit perfectly and was easy to install. Now if it would just stop raining...
Bike Transport - Sort of
Just picked this up today and set a t up for my car. I haven't taken it on the road yet but have two concerns: The metal hooks attach directly to painted surfaces on the car and I worry about the metal-on-metal rubbing and damaging the paint on my new car. Secondly, they are hard to fit over and past the other cradles and neither bike sits on the frame as squarely as they do on my hitch-mounted bike rack. I am probably going to return the rack and try a different transport rack.
fits great and holds bikes securely
bought to use on a nissan versa hatchback. could not be more perfect for this car. very stable and solid feeling. I never worried about the bikes. on a versa hatchback the only thing to watch out for is the added weight to the hatchback. the hatch will slam shut if you let it with an empty rack on it. the arms fold down when not hauling bikes. a good feature but watch your head when closing the hatch. i take the arms off when not hauling bikes. It should be obvious but the rear wipers don't have room to swing with this installed but not a drawback. overall a great product.
Thule 3-bike rack
Doesn’t fit 3 bikes (at least if they are womens/kids). Quality is fine - but description could have been clearer.
More than I bargained for
Although the bike shop had a limited selection I was more than satisfied with my purchase. The rack was easy to setup and remove as well as the ease of lowering the arms when not in use. The fasteners held the bikes securely on bumpy, unpaved Vermont roads. Paved roads are a snap. Only two seasons old, waiting on it's reliability over time.
Super reliable
We purchased this in 2016 and used it for 3 years on the 1500 mile roundtrip to and from my daughters' colleges. Absolutely no issues attaching it to the car ( Toyota Corolla) or with stability while driving. We did use bike locks so we did not have to worry to much when we stopped to eat, etc. A great purchase.
