Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most versatile back pack I've found I bought this bag for a canoeing/hiking trip, but found that it was much more. It quickly replaced my traditional internal frame. I'm 6'0 205 and this bag fit me and my needs for a 4-5 day trip with ease. Its super light weight and requires no rain cover and offered surprisingly great support. The only obvious downside is that it has one compartment, but given its other advantages it's worth considering for an every occasion pack. On our trip we rolled the canoe and as with any sea to summit product not a drop of water entered the bag. The straps dried quickly too. If you're a go everywhere do anything kind of person that loves to find that one product that can meet all expectations then this bag might be the one for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The most versatile dry bag backpack I've found. I bought this bag two years ago to keep my gear dry while running a fishing lodge in Alaska. I wanted something I could fill with gear, throw in the bottom of the open boat during a rain storm, and forget about it. I chose this over the less expensive Sea Line. I was hoping the more substantial straps would make it more versatile. I found the better straps made this bag comfortable enough to carry for three or four hours. Soon I found myself hiking, hunting, back country skiing, and wading waist deep while fly fishing with thug bag. The unfailing waterproofing and relatively comfortable straps outweighed the few draw backs this bag has. I am 6 foot, and 230lbs. With waders and heavy rain jacket, every millimeter of waist strap is used. Another issue is inherent issue with dry bags. It is cumbersome to open and close the bag, and durring large rainstorms I have to limit how often I open the bag. I remedied this by adding a small 5L bag to the outside for frequently accessed items and attached my camp axe to the outside. The small number of tie down points on this bag limits this but I have been able to work with it. Overall, this bag was bought to be a dry bag that I could carry like a backpack on occasion. It has proved to be much more than that and is now my go to bag.
