BEST GAME EVER!

I've had these for several years now and pretty much never leave home without them. They clip on to my backpack and go with me everywhere I go whether it's on vacation, to the beach or on a long distance hiking trip. It's fun to play with 2 people or up to 8 people (4 teams of two) and I've had just as much fun playing inside houses/apartments as I have outside. You literally can play it anywhere. I suggest going by these rules: every round the closest to white ball gets 2 points, second closest gets 1 point and if you hit the white ball on your turn, you get a bonus point. Play to 11 or 21 depending on if you want a short or long game. Must win by 2 points. Person that is closest gets to throw the white ball for next round. And the best part is you can make up rules like it has to hit the tree to count, or it has to go under the table, or you have to roll it, etc. The more creative the better! Here are just some of the places I've played; bottom of the grand canyon, joshua tree national park, came with me on the superior hiking trail and played it at camp most nights, off of a 16 story tall apartment building down onto the grass below, on the beach, in the water as they float (count to 10 as soon as last person throws and whoever is closest then wins), in big cities, on snow/ice, in the woods, at burning man and I will be taking it with me on the Appalachian Trail this year for the entire 6 months!

Kind of a fun thing to toss in the car for outings. One little problem, the balls in our kit are not 4 sets of two colors, so keeping track might be a little tough.

This is fun for what it is

This is fun for what it is. It's a game you can take with you easily to have a little fun outside or inside or wherever. It is not a decent bocce set. I've played bocce a fair amount growing up. These are small golf ball-sized balls that are fairly light, so they definitely won't roll through grass (unless it's manicured like a golf course). Since they are small and light, they bounce around a bit more so there is more of a luck element there. It's not the same. I'll add that it costs way less than a regular bocce set also. But it's still fun, and they are so small and light you can take it with you in your luggage like I did. Our rental car broke down while in the very rural countryside of a foreign country. We were stuck waiting for the rental company to do something. They sent a mechanic who had no luck, and then later brought us another car. Needless to say it killed half the day. With nothing to do, luckily I had brought this with us on the trip and had it in the car, so we got it out and tossed these around and made the best of it. We had a few gravel areas that this worked well on. So, it's not the same as a real bocce game. But you can play it like bocce and have some fun. You can play it inside. And it's much more portable so you can take it places you wouldn't bring a regular bocce set.

Bocce Anywhere

I took these with me to the BWCA on a week long trip. Due to their minimal weight you can play them off objects (Rainflys etc) without causing property damage and with minimal cursing from property owners.

Perfect addition for backpacking!

Easily clipped onto the outside of my pack which was really nice because it didn't take up any extra space. Very light weight and loved that it comes with enough colors to play with four people. We played on the beach and had a blast for hours playing! The balls were heavy enough to roll nicely in the sand and not get stuck.

Nice small game for trips

Bought this set for an RV trip out west. We didn't get to use it as the ground we were on was too bumpy. This is a light weight set and would be best for a beach or soft forest pine floor. Any rocky terrain probably won't work (or makes it super challenging). Still like the portability of it and like the product!

hours of fun

This kit is small and lightweight. The balls are durable and roll well and are just as good in the sand as in the forest. This goes with me to the beach and on backpacking trips.

small and portable but does NOT roll on grass

This set is super light and portable and fun for playing on hard surfaces, but the balls are too light to roll through grass (they get immediately stuck) which is a shame.

Fun & Simple Entertainment in Nature

Hours of fun playing with simple plastic balls. Sturdier than ping pong balls. Can take some abuse being thrown against rocks, etc. out in nature. Careful about losing the green ones in tall grass, though!

Just got back from Emigrant Wilderness with these sweet balls. Using the granite and dusty plateaus made for great fun. Dollar games!
