Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Shoes I've just returned from a three week trip to Europe (France, Italy, Spain). I walked for miles and miles every day. I wore these sandals every day, all day long. The two other women in our party had shoe and foot problems continually. I was so grateful that I'd purchased these sandals. They were comfortable all day. The soles were outstanding on the cobbled stone streets and sidewalks. We toured many cathedrals and museums and I felt my shoes were completely appropriate for those occasions. Mine are black and they look as nice after the three week trip as they did the day I purchased them. I'm very happy I purchased these keen sandals.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from greatly disappointed I bought Keen sandals ~4 years ago and love them! I can wear them all day long and they remain SO VERY comfortable - more comfortable than any recreational shoe I've ever worn. Just thought it was time to invest in a new pair, saw the ads for the CNX type, and bought them. I was SO disappointed - they are clearly inferior, even to my current older pair. Their shape is more streamlined as advertised, but not as comfortable or cushy and just did not feel good on my feet. I only wore them around the house for a short while and I am returning them tomorrow - and probably buying another pair of the standard reliable type.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this shoe I bought a black pair at REI in Bozeman, MT, when at a conference and needing a hiking shoe. I went on a short 4-mile hike along a river that began rising on the way back, so we had to hike through river water covering the path. It was great, so comfortable and an excellent grip on wet and dry rocks. I got back to the dorm and rinsed them off for the next day's meetings, and they looked perfect in the morning. I bought the pink ones on sale this weekend (I don't wear pink normally, but they look good as a pop of color with gray/black and white) and will get the turquoise pair this weekend. I'm buying another black pair to stash for the future. It isn't easy for me to find shoes I like that fit and are comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect sandal for walking and water Bought these to replace Keen sandals I bought about 6 years ago. Although they were still perfectly wearable, they were a little on the heavy side, a concern with checked bags these days. These are much lighter and still provide the support and protection I desire. Wore them on excursions on a recent cruise which involved walking, sand and some uneven ground. Very happy with all aspects of wear except the sand made the bright aqua color a bit dull. Originally ordered an 8 (my true size) and had to exchange for an 8.5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Winner I love Keens in general, and these shoes are no exception. I've worn a pair of Venice 2's for 4 years now. They're still in decent shape, but it felt like time for a new pair, and I thought I'd give these a try since I like the colors better. The fit is much the same, though there isn't as much toe room as the old ones had. The heel is just as wide, but the toe is more slender. They make my feet look smaller, but they fit great. Hopefully they'll last me as long as my other pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sweet on the feet I bought this about a month ago. I have a wide food that is hard to fit. Most comfortable shoes ever. I never had to break them in. Just put them on and off I go. I was glad I got a half size up. These seem to run small so I recommend getting the bigger size so it fits just right, especially if you have a bit of a wide foot like me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for these old feet. I generally wear inserts to avoid recurrence of plantar fasciitis, but have worn sandals successfully with good arch-supporting foot bed. These did not work for me since the arch support was relatively flat and the straps positioned behind and forward of the instep lending no arch support. Nice looking shoe, and I liked the closed toe box. Wish I could have kept them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised I had to go with a size 7.5, which is also my size in athletic shoes. In all other shoes I normally wear a 6.5. I discovered this by ordering a few sizes in one shipment to try on - this was my first pair of Keens. I did notice some pairs fit just a little better than others (similar to trying on jeans), so you may want to order a couple of the same size to try on before deciding. I wore them for 2.5 days to walk around a large campground in the foothills - straight out of the box, too, no need to break them in. With the tread that comes on them, my guess is they'd hold up just fine on flatter trails. The shoes dry VERY quickly, just as other reviews state. I walked in them wet and only a tiny chaffing (area about the size of a pencil tip) near the arch of my foot. Nothing that would slow me down. They dried really fast while wearing them. I'm giving a 4 out of 5 for this reason; otherwise, worth the money.

can you run in these? Maybe not a marathon, but if I am hiking in these and decide to start a light jog, will these support my feet?

The Clearwater CNX sandals offer a low-profile sole which enhances flexibility and provides a more natural connection with the ground. This minimalist design is not the best choice for running.
