This jacket is really lightweight and comfortable, in addition to be really warm. I am always cold when camping or backpacking, but this jacket kept me super warm! I have bad circulation in my hands and feet, but with just this jacket and a Padagonia Capilene 4 top & bottom I was able to wear sandals in 30 degree weather. One suggestion - if you have hips, try a size larger than you usually get. I am usually a small and got a medium. It fits just fine and is not too large in the chest.

Not worthy of Mount Rainier

I was excited to get a good deal on this jacket, as my boyfriend and I were set to go on a trip up Mount Rainier. Unfortunately, I was quickly disappointed. Although it can serve as a basic layer, it is not substantial enough for subzero temps. Compared to my boyfriend's big puffy Marmot jacket, this thing fell flat. The name of the jacket, "Mighty Lite," conveys that this is jacket is not particularly substantial, so if you are looking for something that you can take on a 3-4 hour hike in 17-degree snowy weather, I suggest you keep looking. Hope that helps!

Love this jacket!

This jacket is so comfortable and warm (we've had single digits this year). Great for layering. It's the ideal length, the sleeves have a thin insert with thumbholes that you can slip onto your thumb when needed(skiing maybe), it has a high collar to keep the wind out, it seems to be made of quality materials, love having the omni-shield technology on the inside, and it looks good because it is perfectly tapered at the waist, without being restrictive at all. Besides the outside pockets it has a nice deep zippered pocket on the inside. Couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Lightweight and Warm

I was initially skeptical of the Omni-Heat technology but I was in need of a jacket inbetween a fleece and full-fledged 3 - in - 1 ski jacket. I was suprised at just how warm the jacket was for being so lightweight. The longer I wear the jacket the warmer it becomes. So far I've only worn it in a temperature range of 30-55 degrees. It does run slightly larger than other items I've ordered from Columbia but that allows me to layer if needed. My only complaints are that there's no draw string cord along the bottom of the jacket and I was expecting the collar to be a little stiffer to stand up more on its own when unzipped instead of just falling flat.

Great Transition jacket

I should have trusted the reviews and ordered the larger size to start! I wear a size 12 top and bottom, and while the Size L jacket fit in the arms and chest, it barely closed across my hips. Thankfully a quick exchange got me a great coat. I love that it's functional and fashionable. I ordered the black and you can see a very faint cross hatch pattern. The coat has a nice sheen to it. The overall fit is great. I appreciate the longer arms and the extended sleeve. The larger size is more slimming too. Love the Omni-Heat, but it won't be keeping me warm when the temperature drop below freezing unless I am engaged in moderate activity.

AMAZING!

I bought this one because it was cheaper than the others and seem pretty good. I completely underestimated this jacket! I am an avid Columbia shopper and have never been more impressed! It is incredibly soft, warm, and dry! First day that I got the jacket it was a sleet storm so I tested it out and didn't feel a thing! I am 5'10" and 140 lbs. I got a Medium and have enough room to wear thick hoodies underneath or don't have to wear anything but a tee. Normally I am a strict Medium. The sleeves meet right at the end of my wrist which is a miracle! The neck is a bit wide but no biggie. Also, the orange is BRIGHT! Just fyi! I strongly recommend this jacket!

Would not recommend this product for long term cold exposure

Overall I would say I love this jacket. The fit was perfect, and the blue color is absolutely beautiful. I have received so many compliments on this jacket. My only complaint about this purchase is that is it not as warm as what I was led to believe. This jacket is fine to wear outside in the winter if you are going from the car to the store and will not be exposed to the elements for a long period of time, however I would not be able to wear this jacket in the wind and snow for very long before I was cold. Overall, a great purchase and I am happy with it, but would not recommend this product for somebody who spends a lot of time outdoors in the cold weather.

Amazing Tech Jacket

Looking for a lightweight warm windblocker. After checking out the usual brands TNF, Patagonia, etc. came across this one with the disco lining. Didn't believe the reflective heat hype on the lining until we spent a week in Buffalo. Not only did this keep warm and cozy it blocked the wind and has a stylish form fit.

Great jacket

I own last year's version of this. I have a long torso, but I can move around without having to worry about a draft of cold air on my waist. It's a great jacket, it works through a great temperature range, handles light rain well. Wears well, washes well. If you are going to be very physically active (skiing or running) the omniheat can make you overheat. But for walking, around town biking, and light activity it's great. The cuff that it comes with was too tight, and I didn't like it, so I just cut that part out, and now it's perfect.

warm, light and gorgeous color

It was hard for me to decide to make this a barn jacket because it is so pretty! It is very warm and a nice alternative to the usual heavy bulky Barn clothing. As a recreational rider who doesn't need clothing with quite the durability of the folks who work at the ranch, I decided to take a chance with this and I love it. Went for a very cold ride with friends on Christmas, and I added a heavy vest but my arms were still plenty warm. It also has a thumb hole in the lining which is great with gloves!

Just what I wanted!

I would totally recommend this product to others; in fact, after receiving my jacket two of my family members now want one. The fitting is true to size, and I love the thumb-whole/extra length in the arms/hand area. This extra length and thumb-whole prevents snow from getting inside the sleeves and gets your arms and hands nice and toasty (it's my favorite feature!) It's a pretty warm jacket, although so far this year I haven't gotten to test it out too much. The only complaint I have is that my hair gets static to it due to the type of material (not a lot but just a tad). Other than that, it's a great product with a sleek look that offers many compliments. Enjoy :)
