Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much better than the knockoffs! I've known about the Joby Gorillapods for quite some time, but never got around to purchasing one.  I came across a "great deal" on a KNOCKOFF version, picked up two, and regretted it later.  They were barely good enough to give to the kids. When my wife and I were planning a trip, I picked up one for her (video) and for me (still camera), and was immediately impressed by the superior build quality.  These are made to last, and so easy to use! They're compact enough to bring along (unlike my huge tripod), and sturdy enough to get the job done.  They're built well, so I don't have to worry about the camera falling over as soon as I walk away from it.  The ballhead is built really well for as small as it is. I should have known better, but I learned my lesson now.  I'll only by the REAL Joby Gorillapods from now on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stabilizer I always wanted to order a tripod. But a stiff tripod wont do. I been reseaching the joby gorilla tripods. The hybrid job tripod was the best fit for me because of its size and it can hold a point and shoot camera. You can wrap the tripod everywhere with a smartphone adapter. Having the tripod makes it not shaky when filming. I have an olloclip fisheyes and it always have sounds of it shaking in the video. However when i attached the tripod on the sound went away! It gives a more smoother feeling in your videos. The tripod could attached to many things adding more angles and making it more versatile. When i first order it i kept bringing it whereever i go just to test it out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awesome function, but will break rather sooner than later Loved the Hybrid forn my travel cam, the EOS M. Made some of my best pics with it. Unfortunatly after about a year of light use the ring around the "clutch" for the balls start to crack, making it useless and dangarous for your equippment. Exactly the same happened to my brothers he used with his A6000. Would love to pay more for a metal version that is not a through away consumable. Still 3 stars for the awesome initial function though

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I'm a "hard grader" of nearly everything in life, so it's not very often I give five stars, but this product is about as good as something can be. I Use this with an Olympus SP-350 with a short lens that weighs only 8 oz. Probably could have used the smaller version but this is one recommended. At 6.5 ounces the tripod weighs almost as much as the camera. I'm a minimalist backpacker so the weight is not insigificant, but this sure beats balancing my cmaera on rocks, twigs, pine conees to take group shots. The level is a great feature to get your shots plumb. The only hint I have for users is to keep the level on thesame side as the knob on the ball joint. Otherwise, tightening the knob tends to tip the level a bit. Great product, well built and engineered. The Hybrid legs are long enough to wrap around a 3" diameter limb, sign post, or railing and hold securely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable Performance The Hybrid works well with my small camera; there has been no instance where the tripod does not conform to a particular platform.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for a while This thing is excellent, until one of the joints gets a crack in it. It seems to happen to a lot of people including me, one of the joints at the start on mine has a crack in it due to normal use and constantly pops out the leg when wrapping around any object while being careful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good... After a few times you learn better how to mount to different objects and it holds stable on everything I've tried. One thing to note is if there is a breaking point on how far you can bend it. A ball may pop out of a socket if you go too far but it pops right back in and I've seen no lasting ill-effects from it.
