Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great protection without sacrifice!! This helmet is amazing. I went from never using a helmet to always having this on my head. I knew a cumbersome, heavy, or hot helmet would end in the helmet being left in the car. Luckily this piece of gear is none of that. You easily forget your wearing it and it does its job when rocks come down. Only con is that the lightweight nature of the shell dings easily. I have been climbing with the helmet for a year and it def has some character now. You wont regret this helmet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best helmet so far... by far! This is my third helmet and my favorite by a long shot. To start off, it's the only helmet that fits my head properly. I had a Petzl and Wild Country and they would slide around my head regardless of how I adjusted it. This just stays put once you put it on, period. It's incredibly lightweight and very comfortable. It breathes well, it doesn't impede vision when looking up and has nice solid headlamp clips. Be aware that it's not a hard plastic helmet. If a rock falls on it it will most likely damage the helmet and it will need to be retired. With that said I've bonked my head a few time with it while climbing in tight spots and it hasn't dinged it yet. I wouldn't mind if it was a little more low profile... Black Diamond does make a helmet that is even lighter and more low profile, but I decided to go with the Vector and I'm very happy I did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protecting the Money Maker My head is very important to me so I don't skimp in the protection department and this helmet definitely does its job. Super light weight and breathable and one of the most comfortable helmets I have worn, yet I feel super safe and it appears to have a great impact zone on the crown area in the event of falling rocks. Granted I have not had to use that function but I would be confident that I would make it out just fine. I have had others wear it as well and it is super adjustable as I have never had a problem getting to fit anybody! The only downside is the white color allows for some more obvious scuff marks. I personally don't mind but if that is an issue for you, buy the one in black. Overall awesome helmet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The real deal for alpine climbing/skiing The real deal! Light, breathable, comfortable, great fitting! Has performed well taking a few small hits from rocks and a roll down a boulder slope (me not included). There are surely more durable helmet but for the weight and performance, this is plenty durable! It is also my mountain bike helmet now!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent I use this helmet for all of my outdoor route climbing. It is extremely light weight, adjusts perfectly, and does not impair vision at all. It also has slots for a headlamp for night climbing or caving. It is a foam helmet though so one must be diligent in protecting it. I don't think it can take too many big hits before it should be retired.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid helmet of good construction & lightweight This is my first helmet which I've bought to sport climb in and I'm overall very happy with my purchase. I've only taken it out twice but it is very solid in construction, is bright for viability(orange), and has enough ventilation not to overheat too much. I gave it 4/5 because I haven't tried it in cold conditions yet and am curious if it would be good for scrambles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light but touch This helmet strikes a good balance between weight, durability, breathability, and protection. The straps all tuck in nicely so that nothing snags when you stuff it in your pack. It looks as good as a brain bucket can so I don't mind throwing it on at the crags as well as mountaineering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from helmet runs small This helmet looks good and is light, however, it's only good for people with small heads. I could not even put it on my head, and I measured my head before I bought it. My measurement was the upper limit for M/L about 62 cm but it still wasn't event close.
