I love my synchilla; it is so warm and cozy and I feel so relaxed when I wear it. The pattern I ordered is fun and makes a statement. I am a woman but ordered a men's because I liked this pattern so much.

This Patagonia Fleece Runs Large

I have bought several Patagonia items over the years. This fleece runs really large. I am 6 ft and around 175-180 lbs. I usually like XL T-Shirts and have bought several XL fleeces from Patagonia before. However, I didn't realize that this is a Relaxed Fit. The relaxed fit makes this style HUGE. Compared to my other XL Patagonia Fleeces, this one looks like a XXL. Other than the size problem, I would be very happy with this fleece. As it turns out, REI sold out of the Large in the Blue color that I bought. Next time I will buy 2 sizes and return the size that doesn't fit.

The Only Fleece Pullover You'll Need

I like my fleece pullovers to have plenty of space and a good amount of "wiggle room". Patagonia absolutely nails this and this is really the only fleece pullover I wear now. I have two of them, one of which i keep in my car in the event I end up staying outside on a cool night and need an extra layer to keep me warm. I will say that most Patagonia branded clothes dont fit and their 2XL runs small. With the pullover, i dont need to ever worry about that and know that I can keep buying these for years to come.

This one just works-and works hard!

I've had mine since about 1995 or earlier and it still looks good, still keeps me warm, shows very little piling, and has not lost any stitches, snaps or anything. I have to say it kept me warmer than my NF fleece jacket. I've had several other fleece jackets since and only 2 come close to this versatility. Tough stuff that goes from the top of hill to the middle of the ocean and works.

A classic, great investment, and super warm

I bit on the Oatmeal Heather with blue accents as a great compliment with denim jeans. It's a classic piece from Patagonia that never goes out of style, an investment. And you'll never wear one of these out. Perfect for Fall and Winter. Layer as needed.

Great "go to" cover up!

I have purchased 4 of these in my life ( I'm 63). I just keep wearing them out. Great for around the cabin, fishing, and skiing. I wear it under a Patagonia fleese lined jacket in the winter for extra warmth. My favorite color was the oatmeal color (no longer available).

All Time Favorite

Perfect for Northwest weather. This is great over a t-shirt in Fall weather and over a sweatshirt in winter. Light but warm. Not too heavy. This is the one piece I always swear by to stay comfortable.

Beautiful, warm & durable pullover.

Based on reviews I read I ordered down a size. Wrong move. I should have ordered my normal size of Medium (me: 5'7", 170, non-athletic build). Now have to deal with returning for size that is not snug. Had a time getting it off my torso.

Great Item

I got the Retro Khaki color and I would like to say the picture is much lighter than the actual product. This didnt bother me too much but just letting you all know who are intersted in this color. (It is darker in person) Also I normally wear a large, even though I am skinny, becuase of my height and sleeve length. On this item I went medium and the chest fits great, the sleeves surprisingly do too on my 6'2" frame.

Go to fleece

Although it was not as warm as I thought it would be, this synchilla is comfy and classic. I really enjoy the small pocket it has, which is where I like to store small things that I like to have quick access too. Not a big fan of the tight seam it has around the waist since it makes my t-shirts ride up towards my lower back. I would recommend this item only if it is on sale.
