Exactly the replacement parts I needed!
While recently crossing a stream, I lost a basket from one of my “Made in Austria by Komperdell EMS Trekker telescoping 2-section” trekking poles that I bought for $59 on sale probably ten to fifteen years ago. I could not find the replacement baskets on the EMS web site. After an extensive internet search I found this pair of baskets from REI that looked like they were the same. BINGO! They were exactly the replacements parts I needed. Thanks REI.
Great quality but with one caveat.
This will definitely not fall off your poles, which I hear can be an issue with other poles/baskets combinations. Only compatible with REI poles. These are the twist and click kind, not the screw kind. The good: strong, flexible light and good quality. The bad: They won't do you too much good in powder. If you're looking for powder baskets, I highly recommend the other, wider baskets REI has to offer. The reason for 4 stars is they can be quite hard to get on/off. That makes it quite annoying to switch between these and the larger ones.
Baskets do not fit my REI poles
I have two sets of REI trekking poles that I purchased in May 2016. A basket came off of one and was lost. I ordered these as replacements. However, they do not fit! When I called, I was told that the style of basket for these poles is no longer being manufactured. I’m very disappointed since the poles have barely been used. I had hoped to have a few years of use but now will need to purchase a new pair simply due to a missing basket.

REI brand baskets fit perfectly on my Komperdell poles, as expected. Locked in firmly. Good value.
Fits carbon Salomon high flex rebound ski pole
Bought these baskets hoping they would fit my carbon "Salomon high flex rebound" ski poles. They snapped in place with some effort and looks identical to the original baskets. This pole, I believe, was primarily sold in Europe. Thanks so much.
Perfect Replacement for my Armada Ski Poles
I lost a basket last year on my Armada ski poles and couldn't find a replacement anywhere, that brand is European and the usual ones you found in ski shops didn't work. My Armada poles have the same twist and lock mechanism and it turned out these were the perfect hole size and fit! I was so happy as I hated to throw away the poles that were perfectly good and buy new ones. So these are NOT only compatible with REI poles.
May work for you
Diameter and method of attachment seem adequate to do the job. Unfortunately, these did not fit onto MY multi-section foldable REI carbon trekking poles, so I had to return these. So then, I'd suggest you bring your REI pole in to check if these fit.
These won’t stat on
These are the baskets that came with my REI Traverse Powerlock poles but they don’t stay on. Apparently they are supposed to twist and then click into a notch, but they are impossible to twist that far.
