Replacement for baskets on Costco poles
When I first started snowshoeing I bought a pair of Costco shoes that came with poles. On one of my first outings I managed to lose one of my baskets. I found this as a replacement. The one I needed has been working great for a couple of years now and I still have the other as a spare.

I purchased these because I failed to thread the original black diamond ones (that came with my black diamond adjustable trekking poles) on snug enough. The original ones disappeared while I was skiing. Mussel these on nice and firm... A bit firmer than you think would be necessary. They won't break, just bend. They don't snag on limbs, trees, or shrubs. It would suck to constantly take them on and off. I recommend using summer trekking poles and leave these on your winter poles. You may mess up the threading on your summer poles by brushing on too many boulders for these to thread on? Not sure if they are compatible with leki or other brands. Probably would work. They're so inexpensive might as well go for it. If not give em to a buddy.
They Work
Simply put, they work. And you can't go wrong with the price. Fits my BD avy poles and Leki X-country poles.
Essential for snow
Bought these after my first snow hike where my poles were postholing like crazy. Definitely necessary for snow. You can also use them to toss chunks of heavy snow at your friends in front of you on every stride or target practice on trees. Fun stuff.
Baskey modified
I bought these to replace some plastic baskets on a very old pair of Trak cross country poles. They come with a 1/2" diameter hole. I drilled them out to press fit on a wider shaft. They are sturdy enough for this modification, light weight and big enough for serious power snow support.
Ready for snow
These baskets screw right on to my Black Diamond trekking poles, they install under the little baskets that come on the poles. Easy on, easy off, didn't come off on the hike (like the ones with the T slots do!) did their job in the snow.
