Rated 3 out of 5 by from WORKS FOR WHAT IT WAS MADE FOR I have used LEKI poles for several years and am a happy customer as is my husband. During winter months and snowshoeing we have always used the leki snow basket, they do not work great in deep powder in the backcountry, they will sink pretty far (sometimes 10-12 inches) depending on conditions, but for the most part they do what they were intended to do. Are they perfect, no, but considering it is the only basket offered for thier poles, it is usable. This winter I am going to try some Black Diamond baskets and see if I can adapt them to the LEKI poles. They are larger and have a bit more surface area. As for the taking them off issue, I will agree with the other reviewer, it is difficult, but over the last two years, we have just left ours on all summer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy and Inexpensive I'm not sure why the other reviewers said that these baskets are hard to put on/take off. Leki poles are threaded for the baskets. Give them a pull to get them to the threads, spin them off. Reverse to put them on. Relatively cheap way to use your trekking poles for light snowshoeing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from hiking poles turned snow poles bought these for a trip to the San Bernadino mountains to do some summit hiking after a Southern California 20" snow storm. Along with my yaktrack pros navigating the slush and snow pack was a breeze. great little add on to help reduce deep penetration into the snow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from new life to old friends Bought these to replace the baskets on my Leki Extremes adjustable ski poles that I bought back in 1985. The old baskets were just starting to crack after years of alternating use and storage. Snapped on and good to go with my old friends for another couple of decades

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do what they're supposed to Black Diamond has double threaded area so you can put snow baskets on under trail baskets and switch around really quickly. I like that system better. These work fine though.

Will these snow baskets work on Black Diamond threaded poles? It seems both you and Black Diamond no longer stock the BD baskets and we lost one recently.

Discontinued Leki Telemark 'Super Rainier' adjustable poles needing new baskets. Non threaded shaft. Q. Is there a push fit replacement basket or do I have to incorporate a 'tip' system? Thanks, appreciate the help. Phil

Asked by: Seastring
Unfortunately, Leki no longer makes replacement baskets that are compatible with your poles.
