Nothing better for backpacking

Dr. Bronners has been around since at least the early 60's. I keep a travel size bottle in my dop kit whenever I travel, and a large bottle at home for refilling. Prefer the Almond. As an avid hiker/backpacker, have never found anything this kind to the environment and equally versatile. It will literally clean anything: clothes, body, hair, dishes, pots/pans, shoes, packs, sunglasses, cuts an abrasions... Definitely my "go to" soap for hiking, travel and around the house.

Unecesarily Dangerous

Dangerous anywhere in bear country. To a bear this smells like food. Of course Dr Bronners makes a scentless version soap but REI inexplicably does not stock so you will have to buy it somewhere else.

Such a great versatile product! Great smell, feels effective and very on-board with the support of psychedelics! Only issue was shipping, the top was cracked upon arrival but minor inconvenience!

Backpackers beware, strongly scented

This made my whole pack smell very strongly of lavender even when inside of a plastic bag, and the bottle leaked too. Good thing it was already in a plastic bag because of the smell. The strong smell really made me need to store this in the bear canister, and I could still smell the lingering lavender scent in the pack even hours after I'd taken it out. I'll stick to milder scents of Dr. Bronner's put into a different container in the future for backpacking. Will just have to use this up in the kitchen and enjoy the complete aromatherapy experience away from the threat of curious wildlife. But if you're not backpacking and really love lavender, go for it I guess!

Awesome product!

When I first bought Castile soap, it was because I was looking for my organic bar soaps that I used to love using (but would still irritate me in some areas) and came across a bottle with lots of letters and rose scent! After reading and trusting in what sounds like a faith based family product I can happily say that I will never go back to any other type of soap. I love that I can use this as a body soap for both me and my dog. It saves me time and money, especially because I have a skin sensitivity and Castile Soap is the only soap I can use that will not irritate me. I wish it was maybe a little thicker but with a washcloth it works just fine. Also this product will last me a lot longer than regular body wash or any other product has due to the consistency and amazing ingredients👍 Thank you

Good all-around soap

This is my all-time favorite soap. It works well, it's bio-degradable and the price is great. The travel sized bottle is perfect for the when you're on the road or keeping in your gym bag. The lid and squeezability of the bottle are a vast improvement to most travel sized bottles. I haven't tried using Dr. Bronner's in all 17 "magical" ways, but it's a great all-around soap. I usually use the peppermint soap, I love the tingly refreshing feeling you get when you use it. Just remember, a few drops goes a long way and watch out that you don't get it in your eye (the peppermint/eucalyptus/tea tree oil can sting). However, I wouldn't recommend using it to wash your hair- it leaves a waxy residue that doesn't rinse away.

Awesome soap

Took this lavendar soap on a 10 day trek through the Peruvian Andes form Choquequirao to Machu Picchu...no showers for the first 3-4 days then only a snow melt river. Only a bowl full of boiled water each am and pm for another week. This soap made us feel fresh for the whole 10 day trek. Great smell...even washed some clothes with it. Will buy more!

Lovely feminine scent

I was scared buying this scent because I heard it smelled medicinal and was so strong that it was sickening. I took the plunge and tried it myself, and found out it has such a lovely aromatic scent. I truly believe washing my face with this helped me get over my cold because it cleared my sinuses gently. Showering with it is even more amazing because it fills the bathroom up with the floral scent. If I didn't have a high efficiency washing machine I would use it to wash clothes too, since it has such a great smell. As for the soap itself, I love Dr Bronner's soaps! They're natural, they don't leave a film on you, and they're like aromatherapy.

I love this for feet and hair. The sensation on my scalp i find helps with circulation and stimulation. On my feet mixed with my scrub it smells amazing. While feeling soothing at the same time. I love it.

Honey Almond

This almond scent is so sweet. I like using it with milk, honey, and a little bit of oatmeal. I also mix it with brown sugar to exfoliate. It smells so good
